Surah Maryam - English Translation by Ali Bakhtiari Nejad

كٓهيعٓصٓ

H.Y.A.S. (Kaf. Ha. Ya. Ain. Sud)
Surah Maryam, Verse 1

ذِكۡرُ رَحۡمَتِ رَبِّكَ عَبۡدَهُۥ زَكَرِيَّآ

(This is) a reminder of your Master’s mercy to His servant Zachariah
Surah Maryam, Verse 2

إِذۡ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥ نِدَآءً خَفِيّٗا

When he called his Master, a private calling
Surah Maryam, Verse 3

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَهَنَ ٱلۡعَظۡمُ مِنِّي وَٱشۡتَعَلَ ٱلرَّأۡسُ شَيۡبٗا وَلَمۡ أَكُنۢ بِدُعَآئِكَ رَبِّ شَقِيّٗا

He said: my Master, indeed my bones have weakened and my head has turned white (from old age), and I have not been unhappy about praying to you, my Master
Surah Maryam, Verse 4

وَإِنِّي خِفۡتُ ٱلۡمَوَٰلِيَ مِن وَرَآءِي وَكَانَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتِي عَاقِرٗا فَهَبۡ لِي مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيّٗا

And indeed I am afraid of my relatives after me (when I am dead), and my wife is infertile, so give me an heir from Yourself
Surah Maryam, Verse 5

يَرِثُنِي وَيَرِثُ مِنۡ ءَالِ يَعۡقُوبَۖ وَٱجۡعَلۡهُ رَبِّ رَضِيّٗا

to inherit from me and inherit from Jacob’s family. And my Master, make him pleasing
Surah Maryam, Verse 6

يَٰزَكَرِيَّآ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَٰمٍ ٱسۡمُهُۥ يَحۡيَىٰ لَمۡ نَجۡعَل لَّهُۥ مِن قَبۡلُ سَمِيّٗا

(He was told): Zachariah, indeed We give you good news of a boy, his name is Yahya (John the Baptist), We did not give anyone his name (or attribute) in the past
Surah Maryam, Verse 7

قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِي غُلَٰمٞ وَكَانَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتِي عَاقِرٗا وَقَدۡ بَلَغۡتُ مِنَ ٱلۡكِبَرِ عِتِيّٗا

He said: my Master, how can there be a son for me while my wife is infertile and I have reached the very old age
Surah Maryam, Verse 8

قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكَ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٞ وَقَدۡ خَلَقۡتُكَ مِن قَبۡلُ وَلَمۡ تَكُ شَيۡـٔٗا

He (the angel) said: it is so, your Master says: it is easy for Me, and I have created you in the past while you were nothing
Surah Maryam, Verse 9

قَالَ رَبِّ ٱجۡعَل لِّيٓ ءَايَةٗۖ قَالَ ءَايَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ ٱلنَّاسَ ثَلَٰثَ لَيَالٖ سَوِيّٗا

He said: my Master, give me a sign. He said: your sign is that you will not speak to the people for three nights (being) sound (and healthy)
Surah Maryam, Verse 10

فَخَرَجَ عَلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلۡمِحۡرَابِ فَأَوۡحَىٰٓ إِلَيۡهِمۡ أَن سَبِّحُواْ بُكۡرَةٗ وَعَشِيّٗا

So he went out of the chamber (place of prayer) to his people, and revealed to them (by sign language) to glorify (God) morning and evening
Surah Maryam, Verse 11

يَٰيَحۡيَىٰ خُذِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ بِقُوَّةٖۖ وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُ ٱلۡحُكۡمَ صَبِيّٗا

Yahya, take the book firmly. And We gave him the wisdom from childhood
Surah Maryam, Verse 12

وَحَنَانٗا مِّن لَّدُنَّا وَزَكَوٰةٗۖ وَكَانَ تَقِيّٗا

and sympathy and purity (and integrity) from Us, and he was in control of himself
Surah Maryam, Verse 13

وَبَرَّۢا بِوَٰلِدَيۡهِ وَلَمۡ يَكُن جَبَّارًا عَصِيّٗا

and good (and kind) to his parent, and he was not a disobeying bully
Surah Maryam, Verse 14

وَسَلَٰمٌ عَلَيۡهِ يَوۡمَ وُلِدَ وَيَوۡمَ يَمُوتُ وَيَوۡمَ يُبۡعَثُ حَيّٗا

And peace (and well-being) upon him the day he was born and the day he dies and the day he is raised to life
Surah Maryam, Verse 15

وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ مَرۡيَمَ إِذِ ٱنتَبَذَتۡ مِنۡ أَهۡلِهَا مَكَانٗا شَرۡقِيّٗا

And mention Mary in the book, when she withdrew from her family to an eastern place
Surah Maryam, Verse 16

فَٱتَّخَذَتۡ مِن دُونِهِمۡ حِجَابٗا فَأَرۡسَلۡنَآ إِلَيۡهَا رُوحَنَا فَتَمَثَّلَ لَهَا بَشَرٗا سَوِيّٗا

She took a partition (to separate herself) from them, then We sent Our spirit (Gabriel) to her, and he looked like a perfect human being to her
Surah Maryam, Verse 17

قَالَتۡ إِنِّيٓ أَعُوذُ بِٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ مِنكَ إِن كُنتَ تَقِيّٗا

She said: I look for protection of the beneficent from you, if you control yourself (then get away from me)
Surah Maryam, Verse 18

قَالَ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ رَسُولُ رَبِّكِ لِأَهَبَ لَكِ غُلَٰمٗا زَكِيّٗا

He said: I am only a messenger of your Master to present you a pure (and righteous) boy
Surah Maryam, Verse 19

قَالَتۡ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِي غُلَٰمٞ وَلَمۡ يَمۡسَسۡنِي بَشَرٞ وَلَمۡ أَكُ بَغِيّٗا

She said: how can I have a son while no man has ever touched me, and I was not unchaste
Surah Maryam, Verse 20

قَالَ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٞۖ وَلِنَجۡعَلَهُۥٓ ءَايَةٗ لِّلنَّاسِ وَرَحۡمَةٗ مِّنَّاۚ وَكَانَ أَمۡرٗا مَّقۡضِيّٗا

He said: so it is, your Master says: it is easy for Me, and We make him a sign for the people and a mercy from Us, and it is a matter already decided
Surah Maryam, Verse 21

۞فَحَمَلَتۡهُ فَٱنتَبَذَتۡ بِهِۦ مَكَانٗا قَصِيّٗا

So she conceived him, and withdrew to a remote place with him
Surah Maryam, Verse 22

فَأَجَآءَهَا ٱلۡمَخَاضُ إِلَىٰ جِذۡعِ ٱلنَّخۡلَةِ قَالَتۡ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي مِتُّ قَبۡلَ هَٰذَا وَكُنتُ نَسۡيٗا مَّنسِيّٗا

The pain of childbirth drove her to trunk of the palm tree. She said: I wish I was dead before this and I was completely forgotten
Surah Maryam, Verse 23

فَنَادَىٰهَا مِن تَحۡتِهَآ أَلَّا تَحۡزَنِي قَدۡ جَعَلَ رَبُّكِ تَحۡتَكِ سَرِيّٗا

Then (a voice) called her from under her that do not be sad, your Master has placed a stream under you
Surah Maryam, Verse 24

وَهُزِّيٓ إِلَيۡكِ بِجِذۡعِ ٱلنَّخۡلَةِ تُسَٰقِطۡ عَلَيۡكِ رُطَبٗا جَنِيّٗا

And shake trunk of the palm tree towards you and it drops fresh ripe dates on you
Surah Maryam, Verse 25

فَكُلِي وَٱشۡرَبِي وَقَرِّي عَيۡنٗاۖ فَإِمَّا تَرَيِنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡبَشَرِ أَحَدٗا فَقُولِيٓ إِنِّي نَذَرۡتُ لِلرَّحۡمَٰنِ صَوۡمٗا فَلَنۡ أُكَلِّمَ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ إِنسِيّٗا

So eat and drink and be cheerful. If you see any human being, then say: indeed I pledged a fast for the beneficent, so I never talk to any human being today
Surah Maryam, Verse 26

فَأَتَتۡ بِهِۦ قَوۡمَهَا تَحۡمِلُهُۥۖ قَالُواْ يَٰمَرۡيَمُ لَقَدۡ جِئۡتِ شَيۡـٔٗا فَرِيّٗا

Then she brought him to her people, carrying him. They said: Mary, you have committed an unprecedented thing
Surah Maryam, Verse 27

يَـٰٓأُخۡتَ هَٰرُونَ مَا كَانَ أَبُوكِ ٱمۡرَأَ سَوۡءٖ وَمَا كَانَتۡ أُمُّكِ بَغِيّٗا

Sister of Aaron, your father was not a bad man and your mother was not unchaste
Surah Maryam, Verse 28

فَأَشَارَتۡ إِلَيۡهِۖ قَالُواْ كَيۡفَ نُكَلِّمُ مَن كَانَ فِي ٱلۡمَهۡدِ صَبِيّٗا

Then she pointed to him. They said: how can we talk to any child who is the cradle
Surah Maryam, Verse 29

قَالَ إِنِّي عَبۡدُ ٱللَّهِ ءَاتَىٰنِيَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَجَعَلَنِي نَبِيّٗا

He said: indeed I am God’s servant, He gave me the book and made me a prophet
Surah Maryam, Verse 30

وَجَعَلَنِي مُبَارَكًا أَيۡنَ مَا كُنتُ وَأَوۡصَٰنِي بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ مَا دُمۡتُ حَيّٗا

and He made me blessed wherever I am, and He instructed me to the mandatory prayer and the mandatory charity as long as I live
Surah Maryam, Verse 31

وَبَرَّۢا بِوَٰلِدَتِي وَلَمۡ يَجۡعَلۡنِي جَبَّارٗا شَقِيّٗا

and good (and kind) to my mother, and He did not make me a miserable bully
Surah Maryam, Verse 32

وَٱلسَّلَٰمُ عَلَيَّ يَوۡمَ وُلِدتُّ وَيَوۡمَ أَمُوتُ وَيَوۡمَ أُبۡعَثُ حَيّٗا

And peace (and well-being) upon me on a day I was born, and a day that I die, and a day I am raised to life
Surah Maryam, Verse 33

ذَٰلِكَ عِيسَى ٱبۡنُ مَرۡيَمَۖ قَوۡلَ ٱلۡحَقِّ ٱلَّذِي فِيهِ يَمۡتَرُونَ

That is (the story of) Jesus, son of Mary, a true word that they doubt about it
Surah Maryam, Verse 34

مَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ مِن وَلَدٖۖ سُبۡحَٰنَهُۥٓۚ إِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمۡرٗا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ

It is not for God to take a child, He is flawless. When He decides on an issue, then He just says for it: be, and it will be
Surah Maryam, Verse 35

وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبُّكُمۡ فَٱعۡبُدُوهُۚ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٞ مُّسۡتَقِيمٞ

And (Jesus said): indeed God is my Master and your Master, so serve Him, this is straight path
Surah Maryam, Verse 36

فَٱخۡتَلَفَ ٱلۡأَحۡزَابُ مِنۢ بَيۡنِهِمۡۖ فَوَيۡلٞ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِن مَّشۡهَدِ يَوۡمٍ عَظِيمٍ

Then the groups disagreed among themselves, so woe to those who disbelieved in seeing the great day (the resurrection day)
Surah Maryam, Verse 37

أَسۡمِعۡ بِهِمۡ وَأَبۡصِرۡ يَوۡمَ يَأۡتُونَنَا لَٰكِنِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ فِي ضَلَٰلٖ مُّبِينٖ

How well they hear and see on a day they come to Us! But today the wrongdoers are in obvious error
Surah Maryam, Verse 38

وَأَنذِرۡهُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡحَسۡرَةِ إِذۡ قُضِيَ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ وَهُمۡ فِي غَفۡلَةٖ وَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ

And warn them of day of the regret, when the issue is decided while they are in negligence and they do not believe
Surah Maryam, Verse 39

إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَرِثُ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَنۡ عَلَيۡهَا وَإِلَيۡنَا يُرۡجَعُونَ

Indeed We inherit the earth and whoever is on it and they are returned to Us
Surah Maryam, Verse 40

وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صِدِّيقٗا نَّبِيًّا

And mention Abraham in the book, he was a truthful prophet
Surah Maryam, Verse 41

إِذۡ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ يَـٰٓأَبَتِ لِمَ تَعۡبُدُ مَا لَا يَسۡمَعُ وَلَا يُبۡصِرُ وَلَا يُغۡنِي عَنكَ شَيۡـٔٗا

When he said to his father: my father, why do you serve that which does not hear and does not see and is of no use to you at all
Surah Maryam, Verse 42

يَـٰٓأَبَتِ إِنِّي قَدۡ جَآءَنِي مِنَ ٱلۡعِلۡمِ مَا لَمۡ يَأۡتِكَ فَٱتَّبِعۡنِيٓ أَهۡدِكَ صِرَٰطٗا سَوِيّٗا

My father, indeed some of the knowledge has come to me that did not come to you, so follow me, I guide you to a proper path
Surah Maryam, Verse 43

يَـٰٓأَبَتِ لَا تَعۡبُدِ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَۖ إِنَّ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَ كَانَ لِلرَّحۡمَٰنِ عَصِيّٗا

My father, do not serve Satan, indeed Satan is rebellious against the beneficent
Surah Maryam, Verse 44

يَـٰٓأَبَتِ إِنِّيٓ أَخَافُ أَن يَمَسَّكَ عَذَابٞ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ فَتَكُونَ لِلشَّيۡطَٰنِ وَلِيّٗا

My father, I am afraid that a punishment from the beneficent touches you, so you will be a friend of Satan
Surah Maryam, Verse 45

قَالَ أَرَاغِبٌ أَنتَ عَنۡ ءَالِهَتِي يَـٰٓإِبۡرَٰهِيمُۖ لَئِن لَّمۡ تَنتَهِ لَأَرۡجُمَنَّكَۖ وَٱهۡجُرۡنِي مَلِيّٗا

He said: Abraham, do you hate my gods? If you do not stop, I shall stone you, and get away from me for a long while
Surah Maryam, Verse 46

قَالَ سَلَٰمٌ عَلَيۡكَۖ سَأَسۡتَغۡفِرُ لَكَ رَبِّيٓۖ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ بِي حَفِيّٗا

He said: peace (and well-being) upon you, I am going to ask forgiveness for you from my Master, indeed he is kind to me
Surah Maryam, Verse 47

وَأَعۡتَزِلُكُمۡ وَمَا تَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَدۡعُواْ رَبِّي عَسَىٰٓ أَلَّآ أَكُونَ بِدُعَآءِ رَبِّي شَقِيّٗا

I stay away from you and what you call on other than God, and I call on my Master, perhaps I will not be unhappy with prayer to my Master
Surah Maryam, Verse 48

فَلَمَّا ٱعۡتَزَلَهُمۡ وَمَا يَعۡبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَهَبۡنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسۡحَٰقَ وَيَعۡقُوبَۖ وَكُلّٗا جَعَلۡنَا نَبِيّٗا

So when he stayed away from them and what they served other than God, We gave him Isaac and Jacob, and We made each of them a prophet
Surah Maryam, Verse 49

وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهُم مِّن رَّحۡمَتِنَا وَجَعَلۡنَا لَهُمۡ لِسَانَ صِدۡقٍ عَلِيّٗا

And We gave them from Our mercy, and We gave them a true and high fame
Surah Maryam, Verse 50

وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ مُوسَىٰٓۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مُخۡلَصٗا وَكَانَ رَسُولٗا نَّبِيّٗا

And mention Moses in the book. Indeed he was devoted, and he was a messenger and a prophet
Surah Maryam, Verse 51

وَنَٰدَيۡنَٰهُ مِن جَانِبِ ٱلطُّورِ ٱلۡأَيۡمَنِ وَقَرَّبۡنَٰهُ نَجِيّٗا

And We called him from the right side of the mountain (Mount Sinai), and made him close for a private talk
Surah Maryam, Verse 52

وَوَهَبۡنَا لَهُۥ مِن رَّحۡمَتِنَآ أَخَاهُ هَٰرُونَ نَبِيّٗا

And We gave him from Our mercy his brother Aaron, a prophet
Surah Maryam, Verse 53

وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ إِسۡمَٰعِيلَۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صَادِقَ ٱلۡوَعۡدِ وَكَانَ رَسُولٗا نَّبِيّٗا

And mention Ishmael in the book. Indeed he was true to the promise and he was a messenger and a prophet
Surah Maryam, Verse 54

وَكَانَ يَأۡمُرُ أَهۡلَهُۥ بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ وَكَانَ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦ مَرۡضِيّٗا

And he used to order his family to the mandatory prayer and the mandatory charity, and he was pleasing in his Master's view
Surah Maryam, Verse 55

وَٱذۡكُرۡ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ إِدۡرِيسَۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ صِدِّيقٗا نَّبِيّٗا

And mention Idris (Enoch) in the book. Indeed he was a truthful prophet
Surah Maryam, Verse 56

وَرَفَعۡنَٰهُ مَكَانًا عَلِيًّا

And We raised him to an elevated position
Surah Maryam, Verse 57

أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنۡعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِم مِّنَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ مِن ذُرِّيَّةِ ءَادَمَ وَمِمَّنۡ حَمَلۡنَا مَعَ نُوحٖ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّةِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَإِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ وَمِمَّنۡ هَدَيۡنَا وَٱجۡتَبَيۡنَآۚ إِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ خَرُّواْۤ سُجَّدٗاۤ وَبُكِيّٗا۩

They are those whom God favored upon them among the prophets from descendant of Adam and from those whom We carried with Noah (in the Ark) and from descendant of Abraham and Israel (Jacob), and from those whom We guided and We chose. When signs of the beneficent were read to them, they fell down prostrating (being humble) and crying
Surah Maryam, Verse 58

۞فَخَلَفَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِمۡ خَلۡفٌ أَضَاعُواْ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَٱتَّبَعُواْ ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِۖ فَسَوۡفَ يَلۡقَوۡنَ غَيًّا

Then successors succeeded after them who eliminated (and neglected) the mandatory prayer and followed their desires, so they will face (the result) of (being) wrong
Surah Maryam, Verse 59

إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحٗا فَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ يَدۡخُلُونَ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظۡلَمُونَ شَيۡـٔٗا

Except anyone who repented, and believed and did good work, then they enter the garden and will not be wronged a bit
Surah Maryam, Verse 60

جَنَّـٰتِ عَدۡنٍ ٱلَّتِي وَعَدَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ عِبَادَهُۥ بِٱلۡغَيۡبِۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ وَعۡدُهُۥ مَأۡتِيّٗا

Eternal gardens which the beneficent promised His servants as the unseen. Indeed His promise is coming
Surah Maryam, Verse 61

لَّا يَسۡمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغۡوًا إِلَّا سَلَٰمٗاۖ وَلَهُمۡ رِزۡقُهُمۡ فِيهَا بُكۡرَةٗ وَعَشِيّٗا

They do not hear any useless (talk) in there, but only peace (and well-being), and they have their provision (and food) in it, morning and evening (and all through the day)
Surah Maryam, Verse 62

تِلۡكَ ٱلۡجَنَّةُ ٱلَّتِي نُورِثُ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا مَن كَانَ تَقِيّٗا

This is the garden that We leave to Our servants who control themselves
Surah Maryam, Verse 63

وَمَا نَتَنَزَّلُ إِلَّا بِأَمۡرِ رَبِّكَۖ لَهُۥ مَا بَيۡنَ أَيۡدِينَا وَمَا خَلۡفَنَا وَمَا بَيۡنَ ذَٰلِكَۚ وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ نَسِيّٗا

And we (angels) do not come down except by your Master's command, whatever in front of us and whatever behind us and whatever between that belongs to Him. And your Master is not forgetful
Surah Maryam, Verse 64

رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا فَٱعۡبُدۡهُ وَٱصۡطَبِرۡ لِعِبَٰدَتِهِۦۚ هَلۡ تَعۡلَمُ لَهُۥ سَمِيّٗا

(He is) Master of the skies and the earth and whatever between them, so serve Him and be persistent in His servitude. Do you know anyone with the same name (or attributes) as Him
Surah Maryam, Verse 65

وَيَقُولُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ أَءِذَا مَا مِتُّ لَسَوۡفَ أُخۡرَجُ حَيًّا

And the human being says: will I be brought back to life after I am dead
Surah Maryam, Verse 66

أَوَلَا يَذۡكُرُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقۡنَٰهُ مِن قَبۡلُ وَلَمۡ يَكُ شَيۡـٔٗا

Or does the human being not remember that We created him in the past while he was nothing
Surah Maryam, Verse 67

فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَحۡشُرَنَّهُمۡ وَٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ ثُمَّ لَنُحۡضِرَنَّهُمۡ حَوۡلَ جَهَنَّمَ جِثِيّٗا

And by your Master, We shall gather them and the devils then We shall bring them in attendance around hell on their knees
Surah Maryam, Verse 68

ثُمَّ لَنَنزِعَنَّ مِن كُلِّ شِيعَةٍ أَيُّهُمۡ أَشَدُّ عَلَى ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ عِتِيّٗا

Then We shall pick out from every group those of them who were more unruly against the beneficent
Surah Maryam, Verse 69

ثُمَّ لَنَحۡنُ أَعۡلَمُ بِٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ أَوۡلَىٰ بِهَا صِلِيّٗا

And We certainly know better those who deserve it, entering (and burning)
Surah Maryam, Verse 70

وَإِن مِّنكُمۡ إِلَّا وَارِدُهَاۚ كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ حَتۡمٗا مَّقۡضِيّٗا

And there is not any of you that will not arrive at it. This is an unavoidable decision of your Master
Surah Maryam, Verse 71

ثُمَّ نُنَجِّي ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّقَواْ وَّنَذَرُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ فِيهَا جِثِيّٗا

Then We save those who controlled themselves, and We leave the wrongdoers in it on their knees
Surah Maryam, Verse 72

وَإِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَايَٰتُنَا بَيِّنَٰتٖ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَيُّ ٱلۡفَرِيقَيۡنِ خَيۡرٞ مَّقَامٗا وَأَحۡسَنُ نَدِيّٗا

And when Our clear signs are read to them, those who disbelieved say to those who believed: which one of the two groups is in better position and in better company
Surah Maryam, Verse 73

وَكَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا قَبۡلَهُم مِّن قَرۡنٍ هُمۡ أَحۡسَنُ أَثَٰثٗا وَرِءۡيٗا

And We destroyed many generations before them who were better in assets and in appearance
Surah Maryam, Verse 74

قُلۡ مَن كَانَ فِي ٱلضَّلَٰلَةِ فَلۡيَمۡدُدۡ لَهُ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ مَدًّاۚ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا رَأَوۡاْ مَا يُوعَدُونَ إِمَّا ٱلۡعَذَابَ وَإِمَّا ٱلسَّاعَةَ فَسَيَعۡلَمُونَ مَنۡ هُوَ شَرّٞ مَّكَانٗا وَأَضۡعَفُ جُندٗا

Say: anyone who is in error, then the beneficent extends an extension to him, until when they see what they are promised, either the punishment or the hour (of resurrection), then they are going to know who is in a worse position and weaker in forces
Surah Maryam, Verse 75

وَيَزِيدُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱهۡتَدَوۡاْ هُدٗىۗ وَٱلۡبَٰقِيَٰتُ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتُ خَيۡرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابٗا وَخَيۡرٞ مَّرَدًّا

And God increases guidance of those who are guided. And the lasting good works has a better reward with your Master and has a better return
Surah Maryam, Verse 76

أَفَرَءَيۡتَ ٱلَّذِي كَفَرَ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَقَالَ لَأُوتَيَنَّ مَالٗا وَوَلَدًا

Did you see the one who disbelieved in Our signs and said: I will certainly be given wealth and children
Surah Maryam, Verse 77

أَطَّلَعَ ٱلۡغَيۡبَ أَمِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ عَهۡدٗا

Did he know the unseen or did he take a promise from the beneficent
Surah Maryam, Verse 78

كَلَّاۚ سَنَكۡتُبُ مَا يَقُولُ وَنَمُدُّ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ مَدّٗا

Not at all, We are going to write what he says, and We extend an extension for him from the punishment
Surah Maryam, Verse 79

وَنَرِثُهُۥ مَا يَقُولُ وَيَأۡتِينَا فَرۡدٗا

And We inherit from him whatever he says and he comes to Us individually
Surah Maryam, Verse 80

وَٱتَّخَذُواْ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةٗ لِّيَكُونُواْ لَهُمۡ عِزّٗا

And they took gods other than God to be (source of) power (and honor) for them
Surah Maryam, Verse 81

كَلَّاۚ سَيَكۡفُرُونَ بِعِبَادَتِهِمۡ وَيَكُونُونَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ضِدًّا

Not at all, they are going to deny their servitude, and will be an adversary against them
Surah Maryam, Verse 82

أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّآ أَرۡسَلۡنَا ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ عَلَى ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ تَؤُزُّهُمۡ أَزّٗا

Did you not see that We sent the devils to the disbelievers to encourage them with encouragement
Surah Maryam, Verse 83

فَلَا تَعۡجَلۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡۖ إِنَّمَا نَعُدُّ لَهُمۡ عَدّٗا

So do not be in a hurry against them, We only count a number for them
Surah Maryam, Verse 84

يَوۡمَ نَحۡشُرُ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ إِلَى ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ وَفۡدٗا

A day that We gather those who controlled themselves as a delegation to the beneficent
Surah Maryam, Verse 85

وَنَسُوقُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ وِرۡدٗا

and We are going to drive the guilty ones to hell in thirst
Surah Maryam, Verse 86

لَّا يَمۡلِكُونَ ٱلشَّفَٰعَةَ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ عِندَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ عَهۡدٗا

They do not have power of the mediation except anyone who took a promise from the beneficent
Surah Maryam, Verse 87

وَقَالُواْ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ وَلَدٗا

And they said: the beneficent took a child
Surah Maryam, Verse 88

لَّقَدۡ جِئۡتُمۡ شَيۡـًٔا إِدّٗا

You have certainly committed a horrible thing
Surah Maryam, Verse 89

تَكَادُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ يَتَفَطَّرۡنَ مِنۡهُ وَتَنشَقُّ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَتَخِرُّ ٱلۡجِبَالُ هَدًّا

And the skies are about to tear from it and the earth is about to split wide open and the mountains are about to fall down collapsing
Surah Maryam, Verse 90

أَن دَعَوۡاْ لِلرَّحۡمَٰنِ وَلَدٗا

that they designate a child to the beneficent
Surah Maryam, Verse 91

وَمَا يَنۢبَغِي لِلرَّحۡمَٰنِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ وَلَدًا

It is not becoming for the beneficent to take a child
Surah Maryam, Verse 92

إِن كُلُّ مَن فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّآ ءَاتِي ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ عَبۡدٗا

Everyone in the skies and the earth only come to the beneficent as servant
Surah Maryam, Verse 93

لَّقَدۡ أَحۡصَىٰهُمۡ وَعَدَّهُمۡ عَدّٗا

He has certainly taken them into account and has counted their number
Surah Maryam, Verse 94

وَكُلُّهُمۡ ءَاتِيهِ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ فَرۡدًا

And each of them comes to the resurrection day individually
Surah Maryam, Verse 95

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ سَيَجۡعَلُ لَهُمُ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ وُدّٗا

Indeed the beneficent is going to put love (and friendship) for those who believed and did good works
Surah Maryam, Verse 96

فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرۡنَٰهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لِتُبَشِّرَ بِهِ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ وَتُنذِرَ بِهِۦ قَوۡمٗا لُّدّٗا

So We only made it (Quran) easy in your language, for you to give good news to those who control themselves with it, and to warn contentious (and hostile) people with it
Surah Maryam, Verse 97
