Surah Al-Baqara Verse 257 - English Translation by Mohammad Shafi
Surah Al-Baqaraٱللَّهُ وَلِيُّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ يُخۡرِجُهُم مِّنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ أَوۡلِيَآؤُهُمُ ٱلطَّـٰغُوتُ يُخۡرِجُونَهُم مِّنَ ٱلنُّورِ إِلَى ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِۗ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِۖ هُمۡ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ
Allah is wali of those who believe. HE takes them out of darknesses into light. And those who suppress the Truth — false gods are their awliya, who take them out of light into darknesses. Those shall be inhabitants of the Fire and shall remain therein forever
