Surah Al-Baqara Verse 49 - English Translation by Dr Kamal Omar
Surah Al-Baqaraوَإِذۡ نَجَّيۡنَٰكُم مِّنۡ ءَالِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ يَسُومُونَكُمۡ سُوٓءَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ يُذَبِّحُونَ أَبۡنَآءَكُمۡ وَيَسۡتَحۡيُونَ نِسَآءَكُمۡۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكُم بَلَآءٞ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ عَظِيمٞ
And (remember the time) when We delivered you from the followers of Firaun (Pharaoh) — they afflict you with grievous torment, they slaughter your sons and spare your women; and in that (is) a great trial from your Nourisher-Sustainer
