Surah Fussilat Verse 12 - English Translation by Syed Vickar Ahamed
Surah Fussilatفَقَضَىٰهُنَّ سَبۡعَ سَمَٰوَاتٖ فِي يَوۡمَيۡنِ وَأَوۡحَىٰ فِي كُلِّ سَمَآءٍ أَمۡرَهَاۚ وَزَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا بِمَصَٰبِيحَ وَحِفۡظٗاۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقۡدِيرُ ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡعَلِيمِ
Then, He completed them like seven arches (of the sky) in two Days, and He assigned to each heaven its duty and affair (as a command). And We brightened the lower heaven with lights and (provided) it with guard. Such is the Decree (Command from Him the One) the Almighty (Exalted in Might), All Knower
