Surah Muhammad Verse 37 - English Translation by Almuntakhab Fi Tafsir Alquran Alkarim
Surah Muhammadإِن يَسۡـَٔلۡكُمُوهَا فَيُحۡفِكُمۡ تَبۡخَلُواْ وَيُخۡرِجۡ أَضۡغَٰنَكُمۡ
For, if He - Allah - were to ask you to spend all your wealth in His cause and bear heavily on you, you would be unwilling to give or spend anything, and then He will have exposed your unwillingness and your secret grudge against spending
