Surah Al-Maeda Verse 82 - English Translation by Abdul Hye
Surah Al-Maeda۞لَتَجِدَنَّ أَشَدَّ ٱلنَّاسِ عَدَٰوَةٗ لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱلۡيَهُودَ وَٱلَّذِينَ أَشۡرَكُواْۖ وَلَتَجِدَنَّ أَقۡرَبَهُم مَّوَدَّةٗ لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا نَصَٰرَىٰۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنۡهُمۡ قِسِّيسِينَ وَرُهۡبَانٗا وَأَنَّهُمۡ لَا يَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ
Surely, you will find most hostile among people in enmity to those who have believed (Muslims) are the Jews, and those who set partners with Allah. Surely you will find nearest of them in love to those who have believed (Muslims) are those who say: “We are Christians.” That is because amongst them are priests and monks, who don’t take pride
