Surah At-Taubah Verse 49 - English Translation by Syed Vickar Ahamed
Surah At-Taubahوَمِنۡهُم مَّن يَقُولُ ٱئۡذَن لِّي وَلَا تَفۡتِنِّيٓۚ أَلَا فِي ٱلۡفِتۡنَةِ سَقَطُواْۗ وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمُحِيطَةُۢ بِٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
And among them is (many) a man who says: "Grant me exemption and do not bring me into trial." Surely, are they not in trial already? And truly Hell is (all) around the disbelievers
