Surah At-Taubahفَأَعۡقَبَهُمۡ نِفَاقٗا فِي قُلُوبِهِمۡ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ يَلۡقَوۡنَهُۥ بِمَآ أَخۡلَفُواْ ٱللَّهَ مَا وَعَدُوهُ وَبِمَا كَانُواْ يَكۡذِبُونَ
So as a consequence He caused hypocrisy to take root in their hearts until the Day when they will meet Him, because of breaking their promise to Allah, and because of their persistent lying
