Surah At-Takathur - English Translation by Syed Vickar Ahamed
أَلۡهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ
The rivalry among yourselves for piling up diverts you (from your duties)
Surah At-Takathur, Verse 1
حَتَّىٰ زُرۡتُمُ ٱلۡمَقَابِرَ
Until you visit the graves
Surah At-Takathur, Verse 2
كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ
But no, you soon shall know (the reality)
Surah At-Takathur, Verse 3
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ
Again, you soon shall know
Surah At-Takathur, Verse 4
كَلَّا لَوۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ عِلۡمَ ٱلۡيَقِينِ
No, if you were to certainly know within the mind (You would be aware)
Surah At-Takathur, Verse 5
لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَ
You shall certainly see the Fire of Hell
Surah At-Takathur, Verse 6
ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيۡنَ ٱلۡيَقِينِ
Again you shall see it with the certainty of sight
Surah At-Takathur, Verse 7
ثُمَّ لَتُسۡـَٔلُنَّ يَوۡمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
Then, shall you be questioned that Day about the joy (that you indulged in)
Surah At-Takathur, Verse 8
