Surah Al-Maun - English Translation by Literal
أَرَءَيۡتَ ٱلَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ
Did you see/understand who lies/denies/falsifies with the religion
Surah Al-Maun, Verse 1
فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِي يَدُعُّ ٱلۡيَتِيمَ
So that (is) who turns down/repels the orphan
Surah Al-Maun, Verse 2
وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلۡمِسۡكِينِ
And does not urge/insight/influence on feeding the poorest of poor/poor oppressed
Surah Al-Maun, Verse 3
فَوَيۡلٞ لِّلۡمُصَلِّينَ
So calamity/scandal/woe to the prayers (praying people)
Surah Al-Maun, Verse 4
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ عَن صَلَاتِهِمۡ سَاهُونَ
Those whom they are about their prayers negligent/inattentive
Surah Al-Maun, Verse 5
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ يُرَآءُونَ
Those whom they are pretending/showing off (what they are not)
Surah Al-Maun, Verse 6
وَيَمۡنَعُونَ ٱلۡمَاعُونَ
And they prevent/stop the charity
Surah Al-Maun, Verse 7
