Surah Al-Hadid Verse 14 - English Translation by Mohammad Shafi
Surah Al-Hadidيُنَادُونَهُمۡ أَلَمۡ نَكُن مَّعَكُمۡۖ قَالُواْ بَلَىٰ وَلَٰكِنَّكُمۡ فَتَنتُمۡ أَنفُسَكُمۡ وَتَرَبَّصۡتُمۡ وَٱرۡتَبۡتُمۡ وَغَرَّتۡكُمُ ٱلۡأَمَانِيُّ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَ أَمۡرُ ٱللَّهِ وَغَرَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡغَرُورُ
The hypocrites call out to the believers, "Were we not on your side?" The believers reply, "Yes, but you gave in to temptation, you wavered and doubted and you were deceived by your wishful thinking until Allah's will was done; and then the Deceiver [Satan] misled you about Allah
