Surah Al-Baqara Verse 17 - English Translation by Farook Malik
Surah Al-Baqaraمَثَلُهُمۡ كَمَثَلِ ٱلَّذِي ٱسۡتَوۡقَدَ نَارٗا فَلَمَّآ أَضَآءَتۡ مَا حَوۡلَهُۥ ذَهَبَ ٱللَّهُ بِنُورِهِمۡ وَتَرَكَهُمۡ فِي ظُلُمَٰتٖ لَّا يُبۡصِرُونَ
Their example is that of a man who kindled a fire; when it illuminated all around him Allah took away their light (their eyesight) and left them in utter darkness: they could see nothing
