Surah Al-Baqara Verse 17 - English Translation by Wahiduddin Khan
Surah Al-Baqaraمَثَلُهُمۡ كَمَثَلِ ٱلَّذِي ٱسۡتَوۡقَدَ نَارٗا فَلَمَّآ أَضَآءَتۡ مَا حَوۡلَهُۥ ذَهَبَ ٱللَّهُ بِنُورِهِمۡ وَتَرَكَهُمۡ فِي ظُلُمَٰتٖ لَّا يُبۡصِرُونَ
They are like those who kindled a fire, and when it lighted up all around them, God took away their sight and left them in utter darkness, unable to see
