Surah At-Taghabun - English Translation by Safi Kaskas
يُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ لَهُ ٱلۡمُلۡكُ وَلَهُ ٱلۡحَمۡدُۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٌ
Everything in the heavens and the earth declare the praises of God's limitless glory. To Him belongs the Kingdom, and to Him all praise is due. He is able to do all things
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 1
هُوَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكُمۡ فَمِنكُمۡ كَافِرٞ وَمِنكُم مُّؤۡمِنٞۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ
It is He who created you. Yet some of you deny the truth, and some believe it. God sees everything you do
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 2
خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَصَوَّرَكُمۡ فَأَحۡسَنَ صُوَرَكُمۡۖ وَإِلَيۡهِ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
He created the heavens and earth in Truth, and shaped you and perfected your shapes; and to Him is the ultimate destination
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 3
يَعۡلَمُ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَيَعۡلَمُ مَا تُسِرُّونَ وَمَا تُعۡلِنُونَۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ
He knows everything in the heavens and the earth, and He knows what you conceal and what you reveal. God knows very well the secrets of every heart
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 4
أَلَمۡ يَأۡتِكُمۡ نَبَؤُاْ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِن قَبۡلُ فَذَاقُواْ وَبَالَ أَمۡرِهِمۡ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ
Has the news not reached you, of those who rejected the truth before you? They tasted the ill consequences of their conduct, and they will have a painful punishment
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 5
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُۥ كَانَت تَّأۡتِيهِمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ فَقَالُوٓاْ أَبَشَرٞ يَهۡدُونَنَا فَكَفَرُواْ وَتَوَلَّواْۖ وَّٱسۡتَغۡنَى ٱللَّهُۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَنِيٌّ حَمِيدٞ
That is because their messengers came to them with clear evidence, but they said, "Are human beings going to guide us?" So they denied their messengers and turned away. God had no need for them; God is reach beyond need and praiseworthy
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 6
زَعَمَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ أَن لَّن يُبۡعَثُواْۚ قُلۡ بَلَىٰ وَرَبِّي لَتُبۡعَثُنَّ ثُمَّ لَتُنَبَّؤُنَّ بِمَا عَمِلۡتُمۡۚ وَذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرٞ
The unbelievers claim that they will never be resurrected. Say, "Yes indeed, by my Lord, you will be resurrected; then you will be informed of everything you did; that is easy for God
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 7
فَـَٔامِنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَٱلنُّورِ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَنزَلۡنَاۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِيرٞ
So believe in God and His Messenger and the enlightenment We have sent down. God is well aware of what you do
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 8
يَوۡمَ يَجۡمَعُكُمۡ لِيَوۡمِ ٱلۡجَمۡعِۖ ذَٰلِكَ يَوۡمُ ٱلتَّغَابُنِۗ وَمَن يُؤۡمِنۢ بِٱللَّهِ وَيَعۡمَلۡ صَٰلِحٗا يُكَفِّرۡ عَنۡهُ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِۦ وَيُدۡخِلۡهُ جَنَّـٰتٖ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدٗاۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِيمُ
When He gathers you for the Day of Gathering, the Day of mutual neglect, whoever believes in God and does good deeds, He will forgive him his misdeeds and admit him to Gardens with rivers flowing through them, where they will remain forever. That is the great success
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 9
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَكَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَاۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ
But for those who disbelieve and deny Our revelations, these are the companions of the Fire, remaining there forever; and what a miserable destination
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 10
مَآ أَصَابَ مِن مُّصِيبَةٍ إِلَّا بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِۗ وَمَن يُؤۡمِنۢ بِٱللَّهِ يَهۡدِ قَلۡبَهُۥۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيۡءٍ عَلِيمٞ
No disaster occurs except by permission of God. Whoever believes in God, He will guide his heart. God has full knowledge of everything
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 11
وَأَطِيعُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُواْ ٱلرَّسُولَۚ فَإِن تَوَلَّيۡتُمۡ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَىٰ رَسُولِنَا ٱلۡبَلَٰغُ ٱلۡمُبِينُ
Obey God and obey the Messenger. But if you turn away, it is only incumbent on Our messenger to deliver the clear message
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 12
ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلۡيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
God, there is no god but Him. So let the believers put their trust in Him
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 13
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِنَّ مِنۡ أَزۡوَٰجِكُمۡ وَأَوۡلَٰدِكُمۡ عَدُوّٗا لَّكُمۡ فَٱحۡذَرُوهُمۡۚ وَإِن تَعۡفُواْ وَتَصۡفَحُواْ وَتَغۡفِرُواْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٌ
Believers, there are enemies to you among your wives and your children, so beware of them. But if you pardon, overlook, and forgive, God is forgiving and Merciful-to-all
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 14
إِنَّمَآ أَمۡوَٰلُكُمۡ وَأَوۡلَٰدُكُمۡ فِتۡنَةٞۚ وَٱللَّهُ عِندَهُۥٓ أَجۡرٌ عَظِيمٞ
Your possessions and your children are a test for you, but with God there is a great reward
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 15
فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ مَا ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُمۡ وَٱسۡمَعُواْ وَأَطِيعُواْ وَأَنفِقُواْ خَيۡرٗا لِّأَنفُسِكُمۡۗ وَمَن يُوقَ شُحَّ نَفۡسِهِۦ فَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ
So be mindful of God as much as you can; hear and obey and be charitable, it is for your own good. He who is safe-guarded from his own greed, those are the successful ones
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 16
إِن تُقۡرِضُواْ ٱللَّهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنٗا يُضَٰعِفۡهُ لَكُمۡ وَيَغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ شَكُورٌ حَلِيمٌ
If you loan God a loan of goodness, He will multiply it for you, and forgive you. God is appreciative and forbearing
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 17
عَٰلِمُ ٱلۡغَيۡبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ
He's the Knower of all that is beyond our senses and all that we can witness, the Almighty, the Wise
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 18
