Surah At-Taghabun - English Translation by Ali Bakhtiari Nejad

يُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ لَهُ ٱلۡمُلۡكُ وَلَهُ ٱلۡحَمۡدُۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٌ

Whatever in the skies and whatever on the earth glorify God. The rule belongs to Him, and all praise belongs to Him, and He is capable of everything
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 1

هُوَ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكُمۡ فَمِنكُمۡ كَافِرٞ وَمِنكُم مُّؤۡمِنٞۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ

He is the One who created you, then some of you are disbelievers and some of you are believers. God sees whatever you do
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 2

خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَصَوَّرَكُمۡ فَأَحۡسَنَ صُوَرَكُمۡۖ وَإِلَيۡهِ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ

He created the skies and the earth with the truth, and He shaped you, and shaped you well, and the final return is to Him
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 3

يَعۡلَمُ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَيَعۡلَمُ مَا تُسِرُّونَ وَمَا تُعۡلِنُونَۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ

He knows whatever in the skies and on the earth, and He knows what you hide and what you disclose. God knows inside the chests
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 4

أَلَمۡ يَأۡتِكُمۡ نَبَؤُاْ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِن قَبۡلُ فَذَاقُواْ وَبَالَ أَمۡرِهِمۡ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ

Did not news of those who disbelieved in the past come to you? They tasted the bad result of their affair, and they have a painful punishment
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 5

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُۥ كَانَت تَّأۡتِيهِمۡ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ فَقَالُوٓاْ أَبَشَرٞ يَهۡدُونَنَا فَكَفَرُواْ وَتَوَلَّواْۖ وَّٱسۡتَغۡنَى ٱللَّهُۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَنِيٌّ حَمِيدٞ

That is because their messenger brought them the clear proofs, then they said: does a human being guide us? So they disbelieved and turned away, while God does not need them, and God is rich (without needs) and praiseworthy
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 6

زَعَمَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ أَن لَّن يُبۡعَثُواْۚ قُلۡ بَلَىٰ وَرَبِّي لَتُبۡعَثُنَّ ثُمَّ لَتُنَبَّؤُنَّ بِمَا عَمِلۡتُمۡۚ وَذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرٞ

Those who disbelieved claimed that they will never be raised. Say: yes, by my Master, you shall be raised, then you shall be informed of what you did, and that is easy for God
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 7

فَـَٔامِنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَٱلنُّورِ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَنزَلۡنَاۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِيرٞ

So, believe in God and His messenger and the light which We sent down, and God is well informed of what you do
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 8

يَوۡمَ يَجۡمَعُكُمۡ لِيَوۡمِ ٱلۡجَمۡعِۖ ذَٰلِكَ يَوۡمُ ٱلتَّغَابُنِۗ وَمَن يُؤۡمِنۢ بِٱللَّهِ وَيَعۡمَلۡ صَٰلِحٗا يُكَفِّرۡ عَنۡهُ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِۦ وَيُدۡخِلۡهُ جَنَّـٰتٖ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدٗاۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِيمُ

A day when He gathers you for the day of gathering, that is the day of mutual loss and gain. And anyone who believes in God and does good works, He removes his sins from him and admits him to gardens which rivers flow through them, remaining in there forever and ever. That is the great victory
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 9

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَكَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَاۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمَصِيرُ

And those who disbelieved and denied Our signs, they are inhabitants of the fire, remaining in there forever, and it is a bad destination
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 10

مَآ أَصَابَ مِن مُّصِيبَةٍ إِلَّا بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِۗ وَمَن يُؤۡمِنۢ بِٱللَّهِ يَهۡدِ قَلۡبَهُۥۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيۡءٍ عَلِيمٞ

No tragedy happens except with God's permission (according to His laws). And anyone who believes in God, He guides his heart. And God knows everything
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 11

وَأَطِيعُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُواْ ٱلرَّسُولَۚ فَإِن تَوَلَّيۡتُمۡ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَىٰ رَسُولِنَا ٱلۡبَلَٰغُ ٱلۡمُبِينُ

And obey God and obey the messenger, and if you turn away, then Our messenger's responsibility is only the clear preaching
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 12

ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلۡيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ

God, there is no god except Him, so the believers should put their trust in God
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 13

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِنَّ مِنۡ أَزۡوَٰجِكُمۡ وَأَوۡلَٰدِكُمۡ عَدُوّٗا لَّكُمۡ فَٱحۡذَرُوهُمۡۚ وَإِن تَعۡفُواْ وَتَصۡفَحُواْ وَتَغۡفِرُواْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٌ

You who believe, indeed some of your wives and your children are your enemies, so beware of them. And if you excuse and overlook and forgive, then indeed God is forgiving and merciful
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 14

إِنَّمَآ أَمۡوَٰلُكُمۡ وَأَوۡلَٰدُكُمۡ فِتۡنَةٞۚ وَٱللَّهُ عِندَهُۥٓ أَجۡرٌ عَظِيمٞ

Your possessions and your children are only a test, and the big reward is with God
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 15

فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ مَا ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُمۡ وَٱسۡمَعُواْ وَأَطِيعُواْ وَأَنفِقُواْ خَيۡرٗا لِّأَنفُسِكُمۡۗ وَمَن يُوقَ شُحَّ نَفۡسِهِۦ فَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ

So be cautious of God as much as you can and listen and obey and spend (in God's way), it is better for yourselves, and anyone who is protected from his own stinginess (and greed), then they are the successful ones
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 16

إِن تُقۡرِضُواْ ٱللَّهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنٗا يُضَٰعِفۡهُ لَكُمۡ وَيَغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ شَكُورٌ حَلِيمٌ

If you lend God a good loan (or offer God a good deed), He multiplies it for you and forgives you. God is appreciative and patient
Surah At-Taghabun, Verse 17
