Surah Al-Araf Verse 142 - English Translation by Mir Aneesuddin
Surah Al-Araf۞وَوَٰعَدۡنَا مُوسَىٰ ثَلَٰثِينَ لَيۡلَةٗ وَأَتۡمَمۡنَٰهَا بِعَشۡرٖ فَتَمَّ مِيقَٰتُ رَبِّهِۦٓ أَرۡبَعِينَ لَيۡلَةٗۚ وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِأَخِيهِ هَٰرُونَ ٱخۡلُفۡنِي فِي قَوۡمِي وَأَصۡلِحۡ وَلَا تَتَّبِعۡ سَبِيلَ ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِينَ
And We appointed for Moses thirty nights and completed them with ten (more), so he completed forty nights (as) the time appointed by his Lord. And Moses said to his brother Aaron, "Succeed me (to be in charge, in my absence), of my people, and set right (things) and do not follow the way of those who are corrupt
