Surah Al-Zalzala - English Translation by Aisha Bewley
إِذَا زُلۡزِلَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ زِلۡزَالَهَا
When the earth is convulsed with its quaking
Surah Al-Zalzala, Verse 1
وَأَخۡرَجَتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ أَثۡقَالَهَا
and the earth then disgorges its charges
Surah Al-Zalzala, Verse 2
وَقَالَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَا لَهَا
and man asks, ´What is wrong with it?´
Surah Al-Zalzala, Verse 3
يَوۡمَئِذٖ تُحَدِّثُ أَخۡبَارَهَا
on that Day it will impart all its news
Surah Al-Zalzala, Verse 4
بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوۡحَىٰ لَهَا
because your Lord has inspired it
Surah Al-Zalzala, Verse 5
يَوۡمَئِذٖ يَصۡدُرُ ٱلنَّاسُ أَشۡتَاتٗا لِّيُرَوۡاْ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ
That Day people will emerge segregated to see the results of their actions
Surah Al-Zalzala, Verse 6
فَمَن يَعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيۡرٗا يَرَهُۥ
Whoever does an atom´s weight of good will see it
Surah Al-Zalzala, Verse 7
وَمَن يَعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّةٖ شَرّٗا يَرَهُۥ
Whoever does an atom´s weight of evil will see it
