Surah Al-Humaza - English Translation by Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall
وَيۡلٞ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٖ لُّمَزَةٍ
Woe unto every slandering traducer
Surah Al-Humaza, Verse 1
ٱلَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالٗا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ
Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it
Surah Al-Humaza, Verse 2
يَحۡسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخۡلَدَهُۥ
He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal
Surah Al-Humaza, Verse 3
كَلَّاۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِي ٱلۡحُطَمَةِ
Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One
Surah Al-Humaza, Verse 4
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡحُطَمَةُ
Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is
Surah Al-Humaza, Verse 5
نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُوقَدَةُ
(It is) the fire of Allah, kindled
Surah Al-Humaza, Verse 6
ٱلَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلۡأَفۡـِٔدَةِ
Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men)
Surah Al-Humaza, Verse 7
إِنَّهَا عَلَيۡهِم مُّؤۡصَدَةٞ
Lo! it is closed in on them
Surah Al-Humaza, Verse 8
فِي عَمَدٖ مُّمَدَّدَةِۭ
In outstretched columns
