Surah Al-Maeda Verse 70 - English Translation by Mohammad Shafi
Surah Al-Maedaلَقَدۡ أَخَذۡنَا مِيثَٰقَ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ وَأَرۡسَلۡنَآ إِلَيۡهِمۡ رُسُلٗاۖ كُلَّمَا جَآءَهُمۡ رَسُولُۢ بِمَا لَا تَهۡوَىٰٓ أَنفُسُهُمۡ فَرِيقٗا كَذَّبُواْ وَفَرِيقٗا يَقۡتُلُونَ
We did take the Covenant of the Children of Israelhand We sent to them Messengers. Whenever a Messenger came to them with what their hearts did not like, he was either contradicted or killed
