Surah Al-Hijr - English Translation by Ahmed Ali
الٓرۚ تِلۡكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَقُرۡءَانٖ مُّبِينٖ
ALIF LAM RA. These are the verses of the Book and the perspicuous oration
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 1
رُّبَمَا يَوَدُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَوۡ كَانُواْ مُسۡلِمِينَ
The unbelievers would haply like to wish that they had submitted (and become Muslim)
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 2
ذَرۡهُمۡ يَأۡكُلُواْ وَيَتَمَتَّعُواْ وَيُلۡهِهِمُ ٱلۡأَمَلُۖ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُونَ
Leave them to feast and revel, beguiled by hope; they will come to know soon
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 3
وَمَآ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَرۡيَةٍ إِلَّا وَلَهَا كِتَابٞ مَّعۡلُومٞ
Not one habitation have We destroyed but at the time determined for it
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 4
مَّا تَسۡبِقُ مِنۡ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسۡتَـٔۡخِرُونَ
No people can hasten or delay the term already fixed for them
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 5
وَقَالُواْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِي نُزِّلَ عَلَيۡهِ ٱلذِّكۡرُ إِنَّكَ لَمَجۡنُونٞ
And yet they say: "You, to whom this Exposition has been sent are surely possessed of the Devil
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 6
لَّوۡمَا تَأۡتِينَا بِٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
If you are a man of truth, why can't you bring the angels to us
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 7
مَا نُنَزِّلُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَمَا كَانُوٓاْ إِذٗا مُّنظَرِينَ
But then We never send the angels down save with the purpose (of enforcing their doom), after which they will not be given more respite
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 8
إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَزَّلۡنَا ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ لَحَٰفِظُونَ
We have sent down this Exposition, and We will guard it
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 9
وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِكَ فِي شِيَعِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
We had also sent apostles to people of earlier persuasions
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 10
وَمَا يَأۡتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ
But never once an apostle came to them at whom they did not scoff
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 11
كَذَٰلِكَ نَسۡلُكُهُۥ فِي قُلُوبِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ
We place in the hearts of sinners (disbelief)
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 12
لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَقَدۡ خَلَتۡ سُنَّةُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
So, they will not believe in it: The example of former people is there
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 13
وَلَوۡ فَتَحۡنَا عَلَيۡهِم بَابٗا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَظَلُّواْ فِيهِ يَعۡرُجُونَ
Even if We open a door in the heavens and they ascend through it in broad daylight
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 14
لَقَالُوٓاْ إِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتۡ أَبۡصَٰرُنَا بَلۡ نَحۡنُ قَوۡمٞ مَّسۡحُورُونَ
They will say all the same: "Our eyes were dazed (and clouded over). We were a people ensorcelled
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 15
وَلَقَدۡ جَعَلۡنَا فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ بُرُوجٗا وَزَيَّنَّـٰهَا لِلنَّـٰظِرِينَ
We have placed the signs of the Zodiac in the sky, and decked it out for those who can see
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 16
وَحَفِظۡنَٰهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيۡطَٰنٖ رَّجِيمٍ
And We have preserved it from every accursed devil
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 17
إِلَّا مَنِ ٱسۡتَرَقَ ٱلسَّمۡعَ فَأَتۡبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٞ مُّبِينٞ
Except the ones who listen on the sly, yet they are chased away by a shooting flame
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 18
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ مَدَدۡنَٰهَا وَأَلۡقَيۡنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ وَأَنۢبَتۡنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ مَّوۡزُونٖ
We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers, and made all things grow upon it balanced evenly
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 19
وَجَعَلۡنَا لَكُمۡ فِيهَا مَعَٰيِشَ وَمَن لَّسۡتُمۡ لَهُۥ بِرَٰزِقِينَ
We have provided on it sustenance for you, and for those you cannot provide
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 20
وَإِن مِّن شَيۡءٍ إِلَّا عِندَنَا خَزَآئِنُهُۥ وَمَا نُنَزِّلُهُۥٓ إِلَّا بِقَدَرٖ مَّعۡلُومٖ
Of all things there are We have the stores, and send them down in determined measure
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 21
وَأَرۡسَلۡنَا ٱلرِّيَٰحَ لَوَٰقِحَ فَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَأَسۡقَيۡنَٰكُمُوهُ وَمَآ أَنتُمۡ لَهُۥ بِخَٰزِنِينَ
We send rain-impregnated winds, and water from the sky which you drink, but you are not the keepers of its store
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 22
وَإِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ نُحۡيِۦ وَنُمِيتُ وَنَحۡنُ ٱلۡوَٰرِثُونَ
It is We who give life and We who give death, and We are the One who will abide
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 23
وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡتَقۡدِمِينَ مِنكُمۡ وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡتَـٔۡخِرِينَ
We surely know those of you who go forward and those of you who lag behind
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 24
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَحۡشُرُهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٞ
Your Lord will surely gather them together: Certainly He is all-wise and all-knowing
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 25
وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلۡصَٰلٖ مِّنۡ حَمَإٖ مَّسۡنُونٖ
Man We fashioned from fermented clay dried tingling hard
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 26
وَٱلۡجَآنَّ خَلَقۡنَٰهُ مِن قَبۡلُ مِن نَّارِ ٱلسَّمُومِ
As We fashioned jinns before from intense radiated heat
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 27
وَإِذۡ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّي خَٰلِقُۢ بَشَرٗا مِّن صَلۡصَٰلٖ مِّنۡ حَمَإٖ مَّسۡنُونٖ
But when your Lord said to the angels: "I am verily going to create a human being from fermented clay dried tingling hard
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 28
فَإِذَا سَوَّيۡتُهُۥ وَنَفَخۡتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِي فَقَعُواْ لَهُۥ سَٰجِدِينَ
And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My spirit, bow before him in homage
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 29
فَسَجَدَ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعُونَ
The angels bowed in homage in a body
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 30
إِلَّآ إِبۡلِيسَ أَبَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
Except Iblis. He refused to bow with the adorers
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 31
قَالَ يَـٰٓإِبۡلِيسُ مَا لَكَ أَلَّا تَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
How is it, O Iblis," said (the Lord), "you did not join those who bowed in homage
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 32
قَالَ لَمۡ أَكُن لِّأَسۡجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقۡتَهُۥ مِن صَلۡصَٰلٖ مِّنۡ حَمَإٖ مَّسۡنُونٖ
How could I bow," said he, "before a mortal whom You created from fermented clay dried tingling hard
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 33
قَالَ فَٱخۡرُجۡ مِنۡهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٞ
Go hence, execrable," (said the Lord), "from this place
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 34
وَإِنَّ عَلَيۡكَ ٱللَّعۡنَةَ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ
Condemned till the day of Doom
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 35
قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرۡنِيٓ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ يُبۡعَثُونَ
O my Lord," said he, "give me respite till the day the dead are raised
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 36
قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنظَرِينَ
You are among the reprieved," (said the Lord)
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 37
إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡوَقۡتِ ٱلۡمَعۡلُومِ
Till the predetermined time
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 38
قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَآ أَغۡوَيۡتَنِي لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَأُغۡوِيَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ
O my Lord," he said, "since You have led me into error I'll beguile them with the pleasures of the world and lead them astray
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 39
إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنۡهُمُ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ
Except the chosen ones among Your creatures
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 40
قَالَ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ عَلَيَّ مُسۡتَقِيمٌ
(To which God) said: "This way is right by Me
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 41
إِنَّ عِبَادِي لَيۡسَ لَكَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ سُلۡطَٰنٌ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡغَاوِينَ
No power shall you have over (all) My creatures except those who fall into error and follow you
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 42
وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمَوۡعِدُهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ
For whom the ordained place is surely Hell
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 43
لَهَا سَبۡعَةُ أَبۡوَٰبٖ لِّكُلِّ بَابٖ مِّنۡهُمۡ جُزۡءٞ مَّقۡسُومٌ
Which has several gates, and each gate is marked for every section of them
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 44
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّـٰتٖ وَعُيُونٍ
Verily those who keep away from evil and follow the straight path shall be in the midst of gardens and springs of water
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 45
ٱدۡخُلُوهَا بِسَلَٰمٍ ءَامِنِينَ
Enter in peace and tranquility," (they will be told)
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 46
وَنَزَعۡنَا مَا فِي صُدُورِهِم مِّنۡ غِلٍّ إِخۡوَٰنًا عَلَىٰ سُرُرٖ مُّتَقَٰبِلِينَ
We shall cast out any grudge they may have in their hearts. (There) they will sit on couches face to face like brothers together
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 47
لَا يَمَسُّهُمۡ فِيهَا نَصَبٞ وَمَا هُم مِّنۡهَا بِمُخۡرَجِينَ
No weariness will come upon them, nor will they be sent away from there
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 48
۞نَبِّئۡ عِبَادِيٓ أَنِّيٓ أَنَا ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
Announce to My creatures that I am indeed forgiving and kind
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 49
وَأَنَّ عَذَابِي هُوَ ٱلۡعَذَابُ ٱلۡأَلِيمُ
But My punishment is surely a painful one
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 50
وَنَبِّئۡهُمۡ عَن ضَيۡفِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
Inform them about the matter of Abraham's guests
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 51
إِذۡ دَخَلُواْ عَلَيۡهِ فَقَالُواْ سَلَٰمٗا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمۡ وَجِلُونَ
When they came to him and said: "Peace," he answered: "Truly we are afraid of you
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 52
قَالُواْ لَا تَوۡجَلۡ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَٰمٍ عَلِيمٖ
Have no fear," they said. "We bring you news of a son full of wisdom
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 53
قَالَ أَبَشَّرۡتُمُونِي عَلَىٰٓ أَن مَّسَّنِيَ ٱلۡكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ
You bring me the good news now," he said, "when old age has come upon me. What good news are you giving me then
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 54
قَالُواْ بَشَّرۡنَٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلۡقَٰنِطِينَ
We have given you the happy tidings of a truth," they replied. "So do not be one of those who despair
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 55
قَالَ وَمَن يَقۡنَطُ مِن رَّحۡمَةِ رَبِّهِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلضَّآلُّونَ
Who would despair of the mercy of his Lord," he answered, "but those who go astray
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 56
قَالَ فَمَا خَطۡبُكُمۡ أَيُّهَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ
And asked them: "What matter, O angels, brings you here
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 57
قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّآ أُرۡسِلۡنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمٖ مُّجۡرِمِينَ
We have been sent," they said, "to (punish) a sinful people
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 58
إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٍ إِنَّا لَمُنَجُّوهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ
Except the family of Lot whom we shall save
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 59
إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَهُۥ قَدَّرۡنَآ إِنَّهَا لَمِنَ ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ
Other than his wife who, it is decreed, will remain with those who will stay behind
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 60
فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ءَالَ لُوطٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ
When the messengers came to the family of Lot
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 61
قَالَ إِنَّكُمۡ قَوۡمٞ مُّنكَرُونَ
He said: "You are people I do not know
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 62
قَالُواْ بَلۡ جِئۡنَٰكَ بِمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَمۡتَرُونَ
We have come to you with news," they said, "of what your people doubt
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 63
وَأَتَيۡنَٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَإِنَّا لَصَٰدِقُونَ
Yet we bring to you the truth, and we are truthful
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 64
فَأَسۡرِ بِأَهۡلِكَ بِقِطۡعٖ مِّنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ وَٱتَّبِعۡ أَدۡبَٰرَهُمۡ وَلَا يَلۡتَفِتۡ مِنكُمۡ أَحَدٞ وَٱمۡضُواْ حَيۡثُ تُؤۡمَرُونَ
So leave with your family late in the night, yourself remaining in the rear, and let none turn back to look, and go where you will be commanded
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 65
وَقَضَيۡنَآ إِلَيۡهِ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡأَمۡرَ أَنَّ دَابِرَ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ مَقۡطُوعٞ مُّصۡبِحِينَ
We issued this command to him, for they were going to be destroyed in the morning
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 66
وَجَآءَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ يَسۡتَبۡشِرُونَ
Then came the people of the city, exulting at the news
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 67
قَالَ إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ ضَيۡفِي فَلَا تَفۡضَحُونِ
Said Lot: "These are my guests; do not put me to shame
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 68
وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَلَا تُخۡزُونِ
And do not disgrace me. Have some fear of God
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 69
قَالُوٓاْ أَوَلَمۡ نَنۡهَكَ عَنِ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
Did we not restrain you," they said, "from (entertaining) creatures from the outside world
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 70
قَالَ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ بَنَاتِيٓ إِن كُنتُمۡ فَٰعِلِينَ
Here are my daughters," said Lot, "if you are so active
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 71
لَعَمۡرُكَ إِنَّهُمۡ لَفِي سَكۡرَتِهِمۡ يَعۡمَهُونَ
Verily by your life they were utterly confused in their (lustful) drunkenness
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 72
فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ مُشۡرِقِينَ
So they were seized by the mighty blast at break of day
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 73
فَجَعَلۡنَا عَٰلِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ حِجَارَةٗ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ
And We turned the city upside down, and rained on them stones of hardened lava
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 74
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّلۡمُتَوَسِّمِينَ
Herein are really signs for those who discern
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 75
وَإِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِيلٖ مُّقِيمٍ
This (city) lies on a road that still survives
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 76
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Indeed there is a portent in this for those who believe
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 77
وَإِن كَانَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡأَيۡكَةِ لَظَٰلِمِينَ
The dwellers of the Wood (near Midian) were also wicked
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 78
فَٱنتَقَمۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَبِإِمَامٖ مُّبِينٖ
So We punished them too. They are both situated by the highway, clearly visible
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 79
وَلَقَدۡ كَذَّبَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡحِجۡرِ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
The people of Al-Hijr denied Our apostles
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 80
وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡ ءَايَٰتِنَا فَكَانُواْ عَنۡهَا مُعۡرِضِينَ
And though We had given them Our signs they turned away from them
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 81
وَكَانُواْ يَنۡحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا ءَامِنِينَ
They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 82
فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ مُصۡبِحِينَ
But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 83
فَمَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ
And all that they had done (for security) availed them nothing
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 84
وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّۗ وَإِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ لَأٓتِيَةٞۖ فَٱصۡفَحِ ٱلصَّفۡحَ ٱلۡجَمِيلَ
We have not created but with reason the heavens and the earth and all that lies within them. The Hour (of the great change) is certain to come. So turn away (from them) with a grace
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 85
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ ٱلۡخَلَّـٰقُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything)
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 86
وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَٰكَ سَبۡعٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡمَثَانِي وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ ٱلۡعَظِيمَ
We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 87
لَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيۡنَيۡكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَتَّعۡنَا بِهِۦٓ أَزۡوَٰجٗا مِّنۡهُمۡ وَلَا تَحۡزَنۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَٱخۡفِضۡ جَنَاحَكَ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
So covet not things We have bestowed on a portion of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and protect those who believe
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 88
وَقُلۡ إِنِّيٓ أَنَا ٱلنَّذِيرُ ٱلۡمُبِينُ
And say: "I am a distinct warner
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 89
كَمَآ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡمُقۡتَسِمِينَ
Like (those) We had sent to those schismatics who slandered their Books
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 90
ٱلَّذِينَ جَعَلُواْ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ عِضِينَ
And severed their Scripture into fragments
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 91
فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَسۡـَٔلَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ
By your Lord We shall question them one and all
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 92
عَمَّا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ
About their deeds
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 93
فَٱصۡدَعۡ بِمَا تُؤۡمَرُ وَأَعۡرِضۡ عَنِ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
So declare to them what We have enjoined, and turn away from idolaters
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 94
إِنَّا كَفَيۡنَٰكَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَهۡزِءِينَ
We are surely sufficient to deal with those who scoff at you
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 95
ٱلَّذِينَ يَجۡعَلُونَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَۚ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُونَ

Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 96
وَلَقَدۡ نَعۡلَمُ أَنَّكَ يَضِيقُ صَدۡرُكَ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ
We are well aware that you are disheartened by what they say
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 97
فَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ وَكُن مِّنَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 98
وَٱعۡبُدۡ رَبَّكَ حَتَّىٰ يَأۡتِيَكَ ٱلۡيَقِينُ
And go on worshipping your Lord till the certainty (of death) comes upon you
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 99
