Surah Al-Hijr - English Translation by Literal
الٓرۚ تِلۡكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَقُرۡءَانٖ مُّبِينٖ
A L R , those are The Book`s evidences/verses , and (an) evident/clear Koran
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 1
رُّبَمَا يَوَدُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَوۡ كَانُواْ مُسۡلِمِينَ
Maybe those who disbelieved wish/love if they were Moslems/submitters/surrenderers
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 2
ذَرۡهُمۡ يَأۡكُلُواْ وَيَتَمَتَّعُواْ وَيُلۡهِهِمُ ٱلۡأَمَلُۖ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُونَ
Leave them eat and they live long/enjoy, and the hope distracts/preoccupies them , so they will/shall know
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 3
وَمَآ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَرۡيَةٍ إِلَّا وَلَهَا كِتَابٞ مَّعۡلُومٞ
And We did not destroy from a village/urban city , except and for it (is) a known Book
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 4
مَّا تَسۡبِقُ مِنۡ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسۡتَـٔۡخِرُونَ
None from a nation precedes its term/time, and they do not delay (it)
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 5
وَقَالُواْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِي نُزِّلَ عَلَيۡهِ ٱلذِّكۡرُ إِنَّكَ لَمَجۡنُونٞ
And they said: "You, you who the reminder/remembrance was descended on him, that you are mad/insane (E)
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 6
لَّوۡمَا تَأۡتِينَا بِٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
If you (could) come to us with the angels , if you were from truthful! (expression of wonderment)
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 7
مَا نُنَزِّلُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَمَا كَانُوٓاْ إِذٗا مُّنظَرِينَ
We do not descend the angels except with the truth , and they (the disbelievers) were not then delayed/waited
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 8
إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَزَّلۡنَا ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ لَحَٰفِظُونَ
That We, We descended the reminder/remembrance, and that We (are) for it, protectors/guards (E)
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 9
وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِكَ فِي شِيَعِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
And We had descended from before you in the first`s/beginner`s groups/parties
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 10
وَمَا يَأۡتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ
And none from a messenger comes to them , except they were with him mocking/making fun
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 11
كَذَٰلِكَ نَسۡلُكُهُۥ فِي قُلُوبِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ
As/like that We enter/insert it in the criminals`/sinners` hearts/minds
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 12
لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَقَدۡ خَلَتۡ سُنَّةُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
They do not believe with it, and (the) manner/nature (of) the firsts/beginners had past/expired
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 13
وَلَوۡ فَتَحۡنَا عَلَيۡهِم بَابٗا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَظَلُّواْ فِيهِ يَعۡرُجُونَ
And if We opened on them a door/entrance from the sky/space, so they continued/remained in it ascending/zigzagging
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 14
لَقَالُوٓاْ إِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتۡ أَبۡصَٰرُنَا بَلۡ نَحۡنُ قَوۡمٞ مَّسۡحُورُونَ
They would have said: "But our eye/sights/understanding got closed and confused, but we are a bewitched/enchanted nation
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 15
وَلَقَدۡ جَعَلۡنَا فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ بُرُوجٗا وَزَيَّنَّـٰهَا لِلنَّـٰظِرِينَ
And We had made/created in the sky/space constellations, and We decorated/beautified it to the lookers/seers
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 16
وَحَفِظۡنَٰهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيۡطَٰنٖ رَّجِيمٍ
And We protected/guarded it from every cursed/expelled devil
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 17
إِلَّا مَنِ ٱسۡتَرَقَ ٱلسَّمۡعَ فَأَتۡبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٞ مُّبِينٞ
Except who eavesdropped the hearing, so a clear/evident light from a fire source/a star followed him
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 18
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ مَدَدۡنَٰهَا وَأَلۡقَيۡنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ وَأَنۢبَتۡنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ مَّوۡزُونٖ
And the earth/Planet Earth, We extended/spread it, and We threw in it anchors/mountains , and We sprouted/grew in it from every thing weighed/measured/balanced
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 19
وَجَعَلۡنَا لَكُمۡ فِيهَا مَعَٰيِشَ وَمَن لَّسۡتُمۡ لَهُۥ بِرَٰزِقِينَ
And We made/created for you in it livelihoods/sustenances, and whom you are not to him with providing for
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 20
وَإِن مِّن شَيۡءٍ إِلَّا عِندَنَا خَزَآئِنُهُۥ وَمَا نُنَزِّلُهُۥٓ إِلَّا بِقَدَرٖ مَّعۡلُومٖ
And that (there is not) from a thing, except at Us (is) its safes (treasures) , and We do not descent it except with (a) known measure/quantity
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 21
وَأَرۡسَلۡنَا ٱلرِّيَٰحَ لَوَٰقِحَ فَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَأَسۡقَيۡنَٰكُمُوهُ وَمَآ أَنتُمۡ لَهُۥ بِخَٰزِنِينَ
And We sent the winds/breezes (as) pollinators , so We descended from the sky water, so We gave it to you to drink, and you are not for it with storing
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 22
وَإِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ نُحۡيِۦ وَنُمِيتُ وَنَحۡنُ ٱلۡوَٰرِثُونَ
And that We, We are (E), We revive/make life and We make die, and We are the heirs/inheritants
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 23
وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡتَقۡدِمِينَ مِنكُمۡ وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡتَـٔۡخِرِينَ
And We had known the advanced from you, and We had known the delayed/lagging behind
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 24
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَحۡشُرُهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٞ
And that your Lord, He gathers them, that He is wise/judicious, knowledgeable
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 25
وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلۡصَٰلٖ مِّنۡ حَمَإٖ مَّسۡنُونٖ
And We had created the human/mankind from black (foul mud) dry mud/clay smoothened/rotted
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 26
وَٱلۡجَآنَّ خَلَقۡنَٰهُ مِن قَبۡلُ مِن نَّارِ ٱلسَّمُومِ
And the Jinn , We created him from before from (the) fire`s burning wind
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 27
وَإِذۡ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّي خَٰلِقُۢ بَشَرٗا مِّن صَلۡصَٰلٖ مِّنۡ حَمَإٖ مَّسۡنُونٖ
When/if your Lord said to the angels : "That I am creating (a) human/humans from black (foul mud) dry mud/clay smoothened/rotted
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 28
فَإِذَا سَوَّيۡتُهُۥ وَنَفَخۡتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِي فَقَعُواْ لَهُۥ سَٰجِدِينَ
So when/if I straightened him, and I blew in him from My Soul/Sprit , so fall/land/come to him prostrating
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 29
فَسَجَدَ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعُونَ
So the angels all/all together prostrated
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 30
إِلَّآ إِبۡلِيسَ أَبَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
Except Satan/Iblis , refused/hated that he be with the prostrating
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 31
قَالَ يَـٰٓإِبۡلِيسُ مَا لَكَ أَلَّا تَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
He said: "You Satan , why (is it) for you (that) you not be with the prostrating
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 32
قَالَ لَمۡ أَكُن لِّأَسۡجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقۡتَهُۥ مِن صَلۡصَٰلٖ مِّنۡ حَمَإٖ مَّسۡنُونٖ
He said: "I was not to prostrate to (a) human You created him from black (foul mud) from dry mud/clay smoothened/rotted
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 33
قَالَ فَٱخۡرُجۡ مِنۡهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٞ
He said: "So get out from it, so that you are cursed/expelled
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 34
وَإِنَّ عَلَيۡكَ ٱللَّعۡنَةَ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ
And that on you (is) the curse/torture to the Judgment`s Day/Resurrection Day
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 35
قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرۡنِيٓ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ يُبۡعَثُونَ
He said: "My Lord, so delay me to a day they be sent/resurrected/revived
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 36
قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنظَرِينَ
He said: "So that (then) you are from the delayed
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 37
إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡوَقۡتِ ٱلۡمَعۡلُومِ
To (the) day of the time, the known
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 38
قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَآ أَغۡوَيۡتَنِي لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَأُغۡوِيَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ
He said: "My Lord with what You misguided/enticed me , I will decorate/beautify for them in the earth/Planet Earth, and I will misguide/entice them (E) all/all together
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 39
إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنۡهُمُ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ
Except Your worshippers/slaves from them, the faithful/loyal/devoted
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 40
قَالَ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ عَلَيَّ مُسۡتَقِيمٌ
He said: "That (is) a straight/direct road/way on Me
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 41
إِنَّ عِبَادِي لَيۡسَ لَكَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ سُلۡطَٰنٌ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡغَاوِينَ
That My worshippers/slaves, power/control is not for you on them (you have no power/control over My worshippers/slaves) except who followed you from the misguided/failed
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 42
وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمَوۡعِدُهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ
And that Hell (is) their appointment (E) all/all together
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 43
لَهَا سَبۡعَةُ أَبۡوَٰبٖ لِّكُلِّ بَابٖ مِّنۡهُمۡ جُزۡءٞ مَّقۡسُومٌ
For it (are) seven doors/entrances, to each door/entrance from them (is an) apportioned/divided part/portion
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 44
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّـٰتٖ وَعُيُونٍ
That the fearing and obeying (are) in treed gardens/paradises and water springs/wells
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 45
ٱدۡخُلُوهَا بِسَلَٰمٍ ءَامِنِينَ
Enter it with safety/security/peace, safe/secure
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 46
وَنَزَعۡنَا مَا فِي صُدُورِهِم مِّنۡ غِلٍّ إِخۡوَٰنًا عَلَىٰ سُرُرٖ مُّتَقَٰبِلِينَ
And We removed/pulled away what (is) in their chests (innermosts) from hatred/animosity , brothers on beds/sofas facing each other
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 47
لَا يَمَسُّهُمۡ فِيهَا نَصَبٞ وَمَا هُم مِّنۡهَا بِمُخۡرَجِينَ
Hardship/fatigue does not touch them in it, and they are not with being brought out from it
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 48
۞نَبِّئۡ عِبَادِيٓ أَنِّيٓ أَنَا ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
Inform My worshippers/slaves, that I, I am the forgiving , the merciful
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 49
وَأَنَّ عَذَابِي هُوَ ٱلۡعَذَابُ ٱلۡأَلِيمُ
And that My torture, it is the torture, the painful
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 50
وَنَبِّئۡهُمۡ عَن ضَيۡفِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
And inform them about Abraham`s guests
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 51
إِذۡ دَخَلُواْ عَلَيۡهِ فَقَالُواْ سَلَٰمٗا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمۡ وَجِلُونَ
When/if they entered on (to) him, so they said: "Greeting/peace ." He said: "That we are afraid/apprehensive from you
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 52
قَالُواْ لَا تَوۡجَلۡ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَٰمٍ عَلِيمٖ
They said: "Do not be afraid/apprehensive, that we, we announce good news to you with (of) a knowledgeable boy (new son)
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 53
قَالَ أَبَشَّرۡتُمُونِي عَلَىٰٓ أَن مَّسَّنِيَ ٱلۡكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ
He said: "Did you announce good news to me on that the old age touched me so with what (do) you announce177good news to me
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 54
قَالُواْ بَشَّرۡنَٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلۡقَٰنِطِينَ
They said: "We announced to you with the good news, so do not be from the despaired/despairing
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 55
قَالَ وَمَن يَقۡنَطُ مِن رَّحۡمَةِ رَبِّهِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلضَّآلُّونَ
He said: "And who despairs from his Lord`s mercy, except the misguided
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 56
قَالَ فَمَا خَطۡبُكُمۡ أَيُّهَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ
He said: "So what (is) your matter/affair/concern, you, the messengers
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 57
قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّآ أُرۡسِلۡنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمٖ مُّجۡرِمِينَ
They said: "We are sent to a nation (of) criminals/sinners
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 58
إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٍ إِنَّا لَمُنَجُّوهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ
Except Lot`s family, We are saving/rescuing them (E) all together
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 59
إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَهُۥ قَدَّرۡنَآ إِنَّهَا لَمِنَ ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ
Except his woman (wife). We predestined/evaluated that she truly is from (E) the remaining behind
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 60
فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ءَالَ لُوطٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ
So when the messengers came (to) Lot`s family
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 61
قَالَ إِنَّكُمۡ قَوۡمٞ مُّنكَرُونَ
He said: "That you are a disguised/unknown nation
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 62
قَالُواْ بَلۡ جِئۡنَٰكَ بِمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَمۡتَرُونَ
They said: "But we came to you, with what they were in it doubting/arguing
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 63
وَأَتَيۡنَٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَإِنَّا لَصَٰدِقُونَ
And we came/brought (to) you with the truth , and that we are truthful (E)
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 64
فَأَسۡرِ بِأَهۡلِكَ بِقِطۡعٖ مِّنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ وَٱتَّبِعۡ أَدۡبَٰرَهُمۡ وَلَا يَلۡتَفِتۡ مِنكُمۡ أَحَدٞ وَٱمۡضُواْ حَيۡثُ تُؤۡمَرُونَ
So move/travel/depart at night with your family/people with portions from the night and follow their backs/ends; and no one from you (should) turn around , and proceed/complete where/when you are being ordered/commanded
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 65
وَقَضَيۡنَآ إِلَيۡهِ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡأَمۡرَ أَنَّ دَابِرَ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ مَقۡطُوعٞ مُّصۡبِحِينَ
And We ordered/passed judgment to him (of) that the matter/affair/order/command, that those (people`s) root/remainder (is) cut off/severed by the morning/daybreak
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 66
وَجَآءَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ يَسۡتَبۡشِرُونَ
And the city`s/town`s people came cheerful/rejoicing
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 67
قَالَ إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ ضَيۡفِي فَلَا تَفۡضَحُونِ
He said: "That those (are) my guests, so do not expose my faults (scandalize me)
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 68
وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَلَا تُخۡزُونِ
And fear and obey God and do not shame/disgrace me
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 69
قَالُوٓاْ أَوَلَمۡ نَنۡهَكَ عَنِ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
They said: "And did we not forbid/prevent you from the creations all together/(universes)
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 70
قَالَ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ بَنَاتِيٓ إِن كُنتُمۡ فَٰعِلِينَ
He said: "Those (are) my daughters, if you were making/doing
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 71
لَعَمۡرُكَ إِنَّهُمۡ لَفِي سَكۡرَتِهِمۡ يَعۡمَهُونَ
To your life/age (an oath) that they truly are in (E) their intoxication/loss of judgment being confused/puzzled
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 72
فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ مُشۡرِقِينَ
So the loud strong cry/torture raid took/punished them at sunrise
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 73
فَجَعَلۡنَا عَٰلِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ حِجَارَةٗ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ
So We made its highest/elevated , its lowest/bottom, and We rained on them stones of dry and hardened mud
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 74
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّلۡمُتَوَسِّمِينَ
That in that (are) evidences/signs (E) , to the observing/scrutinizing
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 75
وَإِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِيلٖ مُّقِيمٍ
And that it truly is with a continuing/keeping up path/means (E)
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 76
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
That in that (is) a sign/evidence (E) to the believers
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 77
وَإِن كَانَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡأَيۡكَةِ لَظَٰلِمِينَ
And if owners/company (of) the thicket/dense tangled trees were unjust/oppressive (E)
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 78
فَٱنتَقَمۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَبِإِمَامٖ مُّبِينٖ
So We revenged from them that they (B) truly (the two nations) are with a clear/evident leader/example (E)
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 79
وَلَقَدۡ كَذَّبَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡحِجۡرِ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
And the forbidden`s/mind`s owners/company denied the messengers
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 80
وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡ ءَايَٰتِنَا فَكَانُواْ عَنۡهَا مُعۡرِضِينَ
And We gave/brought them Our verses/evidences , so they were objecting/opposing/turning away from it
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 81
وَكَانُواْ يَنۡحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا ءَامِنِينَ
And they were carving out/cutting from the mountains houses/homes safely/securely
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 82
فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ مُصۡبِحِينَ
So the loud strong cry/torture raid took/punished them in the morning/daybreak
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 83
فَمَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ
So what they were gaining/acquiring did not enrich/suffice them from them (was of no benefit to them)
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 84
وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّۗ وَإِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ لَأٓتِيَةٞۖ فَٱصۡفَحِ ٱلصَّفۡحَ ٱلۡجَمِيلَ
And We did not create the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth and what (is) between them (B) except with the truth , and that truly the Hour/Resurrection is coming (E) so forgive/pardon the forgiveness/pardon, the beautiful/graceful
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 85
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ ٱلۡخَلَّـٰقُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
That truly your Lord (is) the creator (E), the knowledgeable
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 86
وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَٰكَ سَبۡعٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡمَثَانِي وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ ٱلۡعَظِيمَ
And We had given/brought you seven from the doubles/strength/capacity and the Koran , the great
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 87
لَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيۡنَيۡكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَتَّعۡنَا بِهِۦٓ أَزۡوَٰجٗا مِّنۡهُمۡ وَلَا تَحۡزَنۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَٱخۡفِضۡ جَنَاحَكَ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Do not extend/spread your two eyes to what We made spouses/couples from them enjoy with it, and do not be sad/grievous on (for) them, and be lenient/comforting/lower your wing/side (kindness) to the believers
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 88
وَقُلۡ إِنِّيٓ أَنَا ٱلنَّذِيرُ ٱلۡمُبِينُ
And say: "That I, I am the warner/giver of notice, the clear/evident
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 89
كَمَآ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡمُقۡتَسِمِينَ
As We descended on the apportioners/dividers/distributors
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 90
ٱلَّذِينَ جَعَلُواْ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ عِضِينَ
Those who made the Koran bits/divisions/enchantments
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 91
فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَسۡـَٔلَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ
So by/with your Lord, We will ask/question them (E) all together
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 92
عَمَّا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ
About what they were making/doing
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 93
فَٱصۡدَعۡ بِمَا تُؤۡمَرُ وَأَعۡرِضۡ عَنِ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
So uncover/declare openly with what you are being ordered/commanded, and turn away from the sharers/takers of partners (with God)
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 94
إِنَّا كَفَيۡنَٰكَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَهۡزِءِينَ
That We truly make you sufficient (protect you) against the mocking/making fun
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 95
ٱلَّذِينَ يَجۡعَلُونَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَۚ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُونَ
Those who create/put with God another god, so they will/shall know
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 96
وَلَقَدۡ نَعۡلَمُ أَنَّكَ يَضِيقُ صَدۡرُكَ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ
And We had know (known) that you, your chest (innermost) narrows/tightens becuase (of) what they say
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 97
فَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ وَكُن مِّنَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
So praise/glorify with your Lord`s praise/gratitude/thanks, and be from the prostrating
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 98
وَٱعۡبُدۡ رَبَّكَ حَتَّىٰ يَأۡتِيَكَ ٱلۡيَقِينُ
And worship your Lord, until the assurance/certainty (death) comes to you
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 99
