Surah Al-Hijr - English Translation by Safi Kaskas
الٓرۚ تِلۡكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَقُرۡءَانٖ مُّبِينٖ
Alif Lam Ra, these are the signs of the Book and a clear Qur'an
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 1
رُّبَمَا يَوَدُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَوۡ كَانُواْ مُسۡلِمِينَ
Perhaps those who have rejected the truth will wish to submit themselves to God
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 2
ذَرۡهُمۡ يَأۡكُلُواْ وَيَتَمَتَّعُواْ وَيُلۡهِهِمُ ٱلۡأَمَلُۖ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُونَ
Let them eat and enjoy themselves and be preoccupied with [false] hope, for they will [one day] know
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 3
وَمَآ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَرۡيَةٍ إِلَّا وَلَهَا كِتَابٞ مَّعۡلُومٞ
We have never destroyed a town unless it had a known decree
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 4
مَّا تَسۡبِقُ مِنۡ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسۡتَـٔۡخِرُونَ
No nation can speed up [the end of] its time, nor defer it
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 5
وَقَالُواْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِي نُزِّلَ عَلَيۡهِ ٱلذِّكۡرُ إِنَّكَ لَمَجۡنُونٞ
And [yet], they [who deny the truth] say, "You, to whom the message has been sent down, you are crazy
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 6
لَّوۡمَا تَأۡتِينَا بِٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
If you are honest, why do you not bring us angels
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 7
مَا نُنَزِّلُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَمَا كَانُوٓاْ إِذٗا مُّنظَرِينَ
We do not send down the angels except in Truth and, [if We did so now, those who deny the truth) would have no reprieve
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 8
إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَزَّلۡنَا ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ لَحَٰفِظُونَ
It is We who sent down this Reminder and We will preserve it
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 9
وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِكَ فِي شِيَعِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
We sent [messengers] before you, to earlier communities
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 10
وَمَا يَأۡتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ
And every time a messenger came they mocked him
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 11
كَذَٰلِكَ نَسۡلُكُهُۥ فِي قُلُوبِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ
In that way, We insert discord into the hearts of those who force others to reject Our messages
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 12
لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَقَدۡ خَلَتۡ سُنَّةُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
They will not believe. This was what happened with those earlier people
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 13
وَلَوۡ فَتَحۡنَا عَلَيۡهِم بَابٗا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَظَلُّواْ فِيهِ يَعۡرُجُونَ
And [even] if We had opened a gate to the sky for them, and they had continued to ascend though it
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 14
لَقَالُوٓاْ إِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتۡ أَبۡصَٰرُنَا بَلۡ نَحۡنُ قَوۡمٞ مَّسۡحُورُونَ
they would have said, "Our eyesight has only been befuddled," or, "We are under a spell
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 15
وَلَقَدۡ جَعَلۡنَا فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ بُرُوجٗا وَزَيَّنَّـٰهَا لِلنَّـٰظِرِينَ
We have placed constellations in the sky and have beautified it for the observers
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 16
وَحَفِظۡنَٰهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيۡطَٰنٖ رَّجِيمٍ
And We have secured it from every cursed satanic force
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 17
إِلَّا مَنِ ٱسۡتَرَقَ ٱلسَّمۡعَ فَأَتۡبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٞ مُّبِينٞ
Except for anyone who tries to eavesdrop [to learn the unknown]-he is pursued by a clear flame
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 18
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ مَدَدۡنَٰهَا وَأَلۡقَيۡنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ وَأَنۢبَتۡنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ مَّوۡزُونٖ
As for the earth - We have spread it wide and set firm mountains on it, and caused everything to grow in a well-balanced way
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 19
وَجَعَلۡنَا لَكُمۡ فِيهَا مَعَٰيِشَ وَمَن لَّسۡتُمۡ لَهُۥ بِرَٰزِقِينَ
And We put sustenance in it for both you and all creatures for which you don't provide
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 20
وَإِن مِّن شَيۡءٍ إِلَّا عِندَنَا خَزَآئِنُهُۥ وَمَا نُنَزِّلُهُۥٓ إِلَّا بِقَدَرٖ مَّعۡلُومٖ
We have the storehouse of everything that exists, and We send it down only in a known measure
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 21
وَأَرۡسَلۡنَا ٱلرِّيَٰحَ لَوَٰقِحَ فَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَأَسۡقَيۡنَٰكُمُوهُ وَمَآ أَنتُمۡ لَهُۥ بِخَٰزِنِينَ
We send the winds to fertilize, and we bring water from the sky for you to drink; but it is not you who control its sources
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 22
وَإِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ نُحۡيِۦ وَنُمِيتُ وَنَحۡنُ ٱلۡوَٰرِثُونَ
It is We who give life and cause death, and it is We alone who will inherit all
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 23
وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡتَقۡدِمِينَ مِنكُمۡ وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡتَـٔۡخِرِينَ
We know very well those of you who have gone ahead and those who are still to come
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 24
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَحۡشُرُهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٞ
and, behold, it is your Lord who will gather them all together [on Judgment Day]. Truly, He is the All-Wise and the All-Knowing
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 25
وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلۡصَٰلٖ مِّنۡ حَمَإٖ مَّسۡنُونٖ
We have created man out of dried clay, formed from dark mud
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 26
وَٱلۡجَآنَّ خَلَقۡنَٰهُ مِن قَبۡلُ مِن نَّارِ ٱلسَّمُومِ
and, before that, we had created jinn from a scorching firestorm
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 27
وَإِذۡ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّي خَٰلِقُۢ بَشَرٗا مِّن صَلۡصَٰلٖ مِّنۡ حَمَإٖ مَّسۡنُونٖ
And when Your Lord said to the angels: "Behold, I am about to create mortal man out of dried clay, formed from dark mud
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 28
فَإِذَا سَوَّيۡتُهُۥ وَنَفَخۡتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِي فَقَعُواْ لَهُۥ سَٰجِدِينَ
and when I have fully formed him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down and prostrate [yourselves] before him
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 29
فَسَجَدَ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعُونَ
Then the angels prostrated themselves, all of them
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 30
إِلَّآ إِبۡلِيسَ أَبَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
except Iblis. He refused to bow down with the others
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 31
قَالَ يَـٰٓإِبۡلِيسُ مَا لَكَ أَلَّا تَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
God said, "Iblis! What prevents you from being among those who have prostrated themselves
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 32
قَالَ لَمۡ أَكُن لِّأَسۡجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقۡتَهُۥ مِن صَلۡصَٰلٖ مِّنۡ حَمَإٖ مَّسۡنُونٖ
[Iblis] replied, "I will not bow down before a mortal man whom You have created out of dried clay, formed from dark mud
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 33
قَالَ فَٱخۡرُجۡ مِنۡهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٞ
God said, "Be gone! You are expelled from Our grace
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 34
وَإِنَّ عَلَيۡكَ ٱللَّعۡنَةَ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ
and you will be cursed until the Day of Reckoning
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 35
قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرۡنِيٓ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ يُبۡعَثُونَ
Iblis said, "Then, my Lord, grant me relief until the Day when all will be raised again
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 36
قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنظَرِينَ
God answered: "You will be granted relief
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 37
إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡوَقۡتِ ٱلۡمَعۡلُومِ
until the Day of the appointed time
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 38
قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَآ أَغۡوَيۡتَنِي لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَأُغۡوِيَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ
[Whereupon Iblis] said, "Oh, my Lord! Since You led me on to this, I will make [all that is evil] on earth appear good to people, and will most certainly entice them into sin
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 39
إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنۡهُمُ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ
all except the sincere among your worshipers
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 40
قَالَ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ عَلَيَّ مُسۡتَقِيمٌ
God said: "[Devotion] is a straight path to Me
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 41
إِنَّ عِبَادِي لَيۡسَ لَكَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ سُلۡطَٰنٌ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡغَاوِينَ
Truly, you will have no power over My worshipers except for the misled who follow you
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 42
وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمَوۡعِدُهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ
and Hell is the promised meeting place for all of you
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 43
لَهَا سَبۡعَةُ أَبۡوَٰبٖ لِّكُلِّ بَابٖ مِّنۡهُمۡ جُزۡءٞ مَّقۡسُومٌ
There will be seven gates leading into Hell, each gate receiving its allotted share
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 44
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّـٰتٖ وَعُيُونٍ
Truly, those who are ever mindful of God will be amid Gardens and springs
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 45
ٱدۡخُلُوهَا بِسَلَٰمٍ ءَامِنِينَ
Enter it in peace, [safe and] secure
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 46
وَنَزَعۡنَا مَا فِي صُدُورِهِم مِّنۡ غِلٍّ إِخۡوَٰنًا عَلَىٰ سُرُرٖ مُّتَقَٰبِلِينَ
And We will remove whatever resentment may have been [lingering] in their hearts, brethren resting on couches facing one another
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 47
لَا يَمَسُّهُمۡ فِيهَا نَصَبٞ وَمَا هُم مِّنۡهَا بِمُخۡرَجِينَ
no weariness will ever touch them there, and they will never be made to leave
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 48
۞نَبِّئۡ عِبَادِيٓ أَنِّيٓ أَنَا ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
Tell My worshipers that I am the Forgiving, the Mercy Giver
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 49
وَأَنَّ عَذَابِي هُوَ ٱلۡعَذَابُ ٱلۡأَلِيمُ
and that my punishment is truly painful
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 50
وَنَبِّئۡهُمۡ عَن ضَيۡفِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
And tell them all [once again] about Abraham's guests
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 51
إِذۡ دَخَلُواْ عَلَيۡهِ فَقَالُواْ سَلَٰمٗا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمۡ وَجِلُونَ
When they entered his presence and greeted him with "Peace", he answered, "We are afraid of you
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 52
قَالُواْ لَا تَوۡجَلۡ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَٰمٍ عَلِيمٖ
They said: "Fear not! We bring you the good news of [the birth of] a son who will be endowed with profound knowledge
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 53
قَالَ أَبَشَّرۡتُمُونِي عَلَىٰٓ أَن مَّسَّنِيَ ٱلۡكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ
Abraham said: "Do you give me this good news despite the fact that I am overwhelmed with old age? What kind of good news is this
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 54
قَالُواْ بَشَّرۡنَٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلۡقَٰنِطِينَ
They answered: "We have given you the good news of Truth so do not be among those who despair
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 55
قَالَ وَمَن يَقۡنَطُ مِن رَّحۡمَةِ رَبِّهِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلضَّآلُّونَ
[He exclaimed]: "And who - other than those who have utterly lost their way -could ever abandon the hope of his Lord's grace
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 56
قَالَ فَمَا خَطۡبُكُمۡ أَيُّهَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ
He added: "And, heavenly messengers, what [else] might you have in mind
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 57
قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّآ أُرۡسِلۡنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمٖ مُّجۡرِمِينَ
They answered: "We are sent to a people who already cut all relations to God and rejected his messages
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 58
إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٍ إِنَّا لَمُنَجُّوهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ
except for Lot's household. All of them will be saved
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 59
إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَهُۥ قَدَّرۡنَآ إِنَّهَا لَمِنَ ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ
except for Lot's wife, [God] has ordained that she should be among those who stay behind
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 60
فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ءَالَ لُوطٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ
And when the Messengers [of God] came to the house of Lot
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 61
قَالَ إِنَّكُمۡ قَوۡمٞ مُّنكَرُونَ
he said: "Who are you? I do not know you people
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 62
قَالُواْ بَلۡ جِئۡنَٰكَ بِمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَمۡتَرُونَ
They said, "We have come to you with what they have always rejected but wondered whether it will happen to them
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 63
وَأَتَيۡنَٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَإِنَّا لَصَٰدِقُونَ
and we bring you certainty [of its fulfillment], for we speak the Truth
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 64
فَأَسۡرِ بِأَهۡلِكَ بِقِطۡعٖ مِّنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ وَٱتَّبِعۡ أَدۡبَٰرَهُمۡ وَلَا يَلۡتَفِتۡ مِنكُمۡ أَحَدٞ وَٱمۡضُواْ حَيۡثُ تُؤۡمَرُونَ
Go, then with your family while it is still night, follow behind them yourself; and do not permit anyone to look back, but go where you are told to go
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 65
وَقَضَيۡنَآ إِلَيۡهِ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡأَمۡرَ أَنَّ دَابِرَ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ مَقۡطُوعٞ مُّصۡبِحِينَ
And We revealed unto him the decree: "The very last of those [sinners] will be wiped out by the morning
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 66
وَجَآءَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ يَسۡتَبۡشِرُونَ
The people of the town came [to Lot] hoping to have fun [with the strangers]
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 67
قَالَ إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ ضَيۡفِي فَلَا تَفۡضَحُونِ
[Lot] said, "These are my guests. Do not bring shame on me
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 68
وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَلَا تُخۡزُونِ
but fear God and do not disgrace me
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 69
قَالُوٓاْ أَوَلَمۡ نَنۡهَكَ عَنِ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
They answered, "Have we not forbidden you [to offer protection] to any kind of people
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 70
قَالَ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ بَنَاتِيٓ إِن كُنتُمۡ فَٰعِلِينَ
[Lot] said, "Take my daughters instead, if you must
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 71
لَعَمۡرُكَ إِنَّهُمۡ لَفِي سَكۡرَتِهِمۡ يَعۡمَهُونَ
Do not pay attention to them [the messengers said], they are stumbling around in their wild intoxication
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 72
فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ مُشۡرِقِينَ
The blast [of Our punishment] overtook them around sunrise
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 73
فَجَعَلۡنَا عَٰلِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ حِجَارَةٗ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ
and We turned the town upside down, and rained down upon them stones of baked clay
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 74
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّلۡمُتَوَسِّمِينَ
Truly, there are messages in this for those who discern
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 75
وَإِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِيلٖ مُّقِيمٍ
[the town] is still there standing by a road that still exists
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 76
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Truly, there is a sign in this for all who believe
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 77
وَإِن كَانَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡأَيۡكَةِ لَظَٰلِمِينَ
And the woods-dwellers were also unjust
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 78
فَٱنتَقَمۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَبِإِمَامٖ مُّبِينٖ
and so We inflicted Our retribution on them. Both of these [sinful communities] were on a highway, [still) plain to see
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 79
وَلَقَدۡ كَذَّبَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡحِجۡرِ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
And the people of Al-Hijr, likewise rejected our messengers
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 80
وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡ ءَايَٰتِنَا فَكَانُواْ عَنۡهَا مُعۡرِضِينَ
We gave them our signs, but they turned their backs to them
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 81
وَكَانُواْ يَنۡحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا ءَامِنِينَ
They carved dwellings in the mountains, thinking themselves secure
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 82
فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ مُصۡبِحِينَ
The blast [of Our punishment] overtook them early in the morning
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 83
فَمَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ
and all [the power] that they had acquired was of no use to them
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 84
وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّۗ وَإِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ لَأٓتِيَةٞۖ فَٱصۡفَحِ ٱلصَّفۡحَ ٱلۡجَمِيلَ
We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] gracefully
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 85
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ ٱلۡخَلَّـٰقُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
Truly, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator of all things
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 86
وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَٰكَ سَبۡعٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡمَثَانِي وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ ٱلۡعَظِيمَ
And We have given you seven of the oft-repeated [verses], and this glorious Qur'an
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 87
لَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيۡنَيۡكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَتَّعۡنَا بِهِۦٓ أَزۡوَٰجٗا مِّنۡهُمۡ وَلَا تَحۡزَنۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَٱخۡفِضۡ جَنَاحَكَ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
[so] don't turn your eyes [longingly] towards what we have given some of them to enjoy. And neither grieve over those [who are rejecting your message], but spread your wings [of modesty and tenderness] over the believers
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 88
وَقُلۡ إِنِّيٓ أَنَا ٱلنَّذِيرُ ٱلۡمُبِينُ
and say, "I am the clear Warner
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 89
كَمَآ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡمُقۡتَسِمِينَ
Just as We have sent down warnings for the conspiring separatists
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 90
ٱلَّذِينَ جَعَلُواْ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ عِضِينَ
who reduced the Qur'an into fragments believing in some and rejecting others
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 91
فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَسۡـَٔلَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ
By your Lord! We will call them to account, one and all
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 92
عَمَّا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ
for whatever they have done
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 93
فَٱصۡدَعۡ بِمَا تُؤۡمَرُ وَأَعۡرِضۡ عَنِ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
Hence, proclaim openly all that you have been told [to say], and leave the idolaters alone
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 94
إِنَّا كَفَيۡنَٰكَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَهۡزِءِينَ
Truly, We are sufficient for you against all who mock this revelation
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 95
ٱلَّذِينَ يَجۡعَلُونَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَۚ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُونَ
who associate another deity with God, for in time they will know
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 96
وَلَقَدۡ نَعۡلَمُ أَنَّكَ يَضِيقُ صَدۡرُكَ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ
And We know that your heart is distressed by the things they say
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 97
فَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ وَكُن مِّنَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
but celebrate your Lord's limitless glory, praise Him, and be among those who prostrate themselves [before Him] in worship
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 98
وَٱعۡبُدۡ رَبَّكَ حَتَّىٰ يَأۡتِيَكَ ٱلۡيَقِينُ
and worship your Lord until you die
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 99
