Surah Al-Hijr - English Translation by Dr Laleh Bakhtiar
الٓرۚ تِلۡكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَقُرۡءَانٖ مُّبِينٖ
Alif L[m R[. That are the signs of the Book and of a clear Recitation]
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 1
رُّبَمَا يَوَدُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَوۡ كَانُواْ مُسۡلِمِينَ
It may be those who were ungrateful would wish that they had been ones who submit to God
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 2
ذَرۡهُمۡ يَأۡكُلُواْ وَيَتَمَتَّعُواْ وَيُلۡهِهِمُ ٱلۡأَمَلُۖ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُونَ
Forsake them to eat and let them take joy and be diverted with hopefulness. Then, they will know
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 3
وَمَآ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَرۡيَةٍ إِلَّا وَلَهَا كِتَابٞ مَّعۡلُومٞ
And We caused not a town to perish but there was for it a known prescription
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 4
مَّا تَسۡبِقُ مِنۡ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسۡتَـٔۡخِرُونَ
No community precedes its term nor delays it
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 5
وَقَالُواْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِي نُزِّلَ عَلَيۡهِ ٱلذِّكۡرُ إِنَّكَ لَمَجۡنُونٞ
And they say: O thou to whom was sent down the Remembrance, truly, thou art one who is possessed
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 6
لَّوۡمَا تَأۡتِينَا بِٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
Why hast thou not brought angels to us if thou hadst been the ones who are sincere
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 7
مَا نُنَزِّلُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَمَا كَانُوٓاْ إِذٗا مُّنظَرِينَ
We send angels down not but with The Truth. If they come to the ungrateful, they would not have been ones who are given respite
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 8
إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَزَّلۡنَا ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ لَحَٰفِظُونَ
Truly, We, We sent down the Remembrance and, truly, We are ones who guard it
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 9
وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِكَ فِي شِيَعِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
And, certainly, We sent Messengers before thee to partisans of the ancient ones
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 10
وَمَا يَأۡتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ
And approach them not any Messenger but they had been ridiculing him
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 11
كَذَٰلِكَ نَسۡلُكُهُۥ فِي قُلُوبِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ
Thus, We thrust it into the hearts of the ones who sin
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 12
لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَقَدۡ خَلَتۡ سُنَّةُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
They believe not in it. Surely, passed away before them a custom of the ancient ones
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 13
وَلَوۡ فَتَحۡنَا عَلَيۡهِم بَابٗا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَظَلُّواْ فِيهِ يَعۡرُجُونَ
And even if We opened for them a door from heaven and they continued going up to it
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 14
لَقَالُوٓاْ إِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتۡ أَبۡصَٰرُنَا بَلۡ نَحۡنُ قَوۡمٞ مَّسۡحُورُونَ
they would say: Truly, our sight was dazzled. Nay! We were a bewitched folk
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 15
وَلَقَدۡ جَعَلۡنَا فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ بُرُوجٗا وَزَيَّنَّـٰهَا لِلنَّـٰظِرِينَ
And, certainly, We made constellations in the heavens and We made them appear pleasing to the ones who look
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 16
وَحَفِظۡنَٰهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيۡطَٰنٖ رَّجِيمٍ
And We kept them safe from every accursed satan
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 17
إِلَّا مَنِ ٱسۡتَرَقَ ٱلسَّمۡعَ فَأَتۡبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٞ مُّبِينٞ
but he who had the ability to hear by eavesdropping. Then, a clear flame pursued him
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 18
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ مَدَدۡنَٰهَا وَأَلۡقَيۡنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ وَأَنۢبَتۡنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ مَّوۡزُونٖ
And We stretched out the earth and We cast on it firm mountains and We caused to develop on it that which was well-balanced of everything
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 19
وَجَعَلۡنَا لَكُمۡ فِيهَا مَعَٰيِشَ وَمَن لَّسۡتُمۡ لَهُۥ بِرَٰزِقِينَ
And We made on it for you a livelihood and for whomever you are not ones who provide
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 20
وَإِن مِّن شَيۡءٍ إِلَّا عِندَنَا خَزَآئِنُهُۥ وَمَا نُنَزِّلُهُۥٓ إِلَّا بِقَدَرٖ مَّعۡلُومٖ
And there is not a thing, but its treasures are with Us and We send it down not but in a known measure
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 21
وَأَرۡسَلۡنَا ٱلرِّيَٰحَ لَوَٰقِحَ فَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءٗ فَأَسۡقَيۡنَٰكُمُوهُ وَمَآ أَنتُمۡ لَهُۥ بِخَٰزِنِينَ
And We sent fertilizing winds. Then, We caused water to descend from heaven, then, We satiated you, and you are not ones who are its keepers
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 22
وَإِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ نُحۡيِۦ وَنُمِيتُ وَنَحۡنُ ٱلۡوَٰرِثُونَ
And, truly, it is We Who give life and cause to die and We are the ones who inherit
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 23
وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡتَقۡدِمِينَ مِنكُمۡ وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡنَا ٱلۡمُسۡتَـٔۡخِرِينَ
And, certainly, We knew the ones who precede among you and, certainly, We knew the ones who come later
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 24
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَحۡشُرُهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٞ
And, truly, thy Lord is He Who assembles. Truly, He is Wise, Knowing
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 25
وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلۡصَٰلٖ مِّنۡ حَمَإٖ مَّسۡنُونٖ
And, certainly, We created the human being out of earth-mud of soft wet earth
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 26
وَٱلۡجَآنَّ خَلَقۡنَٰهُ مِن قَبۡلُ مِن نَّارِ ٱلسَّمُومِ
And We created the ones who are spirits before from the fire of a burning wind
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 27
وَإِذۡ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّي خَٰلِقُۢ بَشَرٗا مِّن صَلۡصَٰلٖ مِّنۡ حَمَإٖ مَّسۡنُونٖ
And mention when thy Lord said to the angels: Truly, I am One Who is Creator of mortals out of earth-mud of soft wet earth
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 28
فَإِذَا سَوَّيۡتُهُۥ وَنَفَخۡتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِي فَقَعُواْ لَهُۥ سَٰجِدِينَ
That is when I shaped him and breathed into him of My Spirit. So fall down before him as ones who prostrate themselves
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 29
فَسَجَدَ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعُونَ
The angels prostrated themselves, one and all
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 30
إِلَّآ إِبۡلِيسَ أَبَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
but Iblis. He refused to be with the ones who prostrate themselves
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 31
قَالَ يَـٰٓإِبۡلِيسُ مَا لَكَ أَلَّا تَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
He said: O Iblis! What is with thee that thou be not with the ones who prostrate themselves
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 32
قَالَ لَمۡ أَكُن لِّأَسۡجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقۡتَهُۥ مِن صَلۡصَٰلٖ مِّنۡ حَمَإٖ مَّسۡنُونٖ
Iblis said: I will not be prostrating myself before a mortal whom Thou hadst created out of earth-mud of soft wet earth
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 33
قَالَ فَٱخۡرُجۡ مِنۡهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٞ
It was said: Go thou forth from here, for, truly, thou art accursed
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 34
وَإِنَّ عَلَيۡكَ ٱللَّعۡنَةَ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ
And, truly, a curse will be upon thee until the Day of Judgment
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 35
قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرۡنِيٓ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ يُبۡعَثُونَ
Iblis said: O my Lord! Give me respite until the Day they are raised up
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 36
قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنظَرِينَ
He said: Then, truly, thou art among the ones who are given respite
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 37
إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡوَقۡتِ ٱلۡمَعۡلُومِ
until the Day of the known time
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 38
قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَآ أَغۡوَيۡتَنِي لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَأُغۡوِيَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ
Iblis said: My Lord! Because Thou hadst led me into error I will, certainly, make the earth appear pleasing to them and I will lead them one and all into error
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 39
إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنۡهُمُ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ
but Thy servants among them, the ones who are devoted
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 40
قَالَ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ عَلَيَّ مُسۡتَقِيمٌ
He said: This is the straight path to Me
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 41
إِنَّ عِبَادِي لَيۡسَ لَكَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ سُلۡطَٰنٌ إِلَّا مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡغَاوِينَ
Truly, as for My servants there is no authority for thee over them, but ones who are in error followed thee
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 42
وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمَوۡعِدُهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ
And, truly, hell is promised to them one and all
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 43
لَهَا سَبۡعَةُ أَبۡوَٰبٖ لِّكُلِّ بَابٖ مِّنۡهُمۡ جُزۡءٞ مَّقۡسُومٌ
It has seven doors. Then, for every one, a door set apart, is for them
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 44
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّـٰتٖ وَعُيُونٍ
Truly, the ones who are Godfearing will be amidst gardens and springs
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 45
ٱدۡخُلُوهَا بِسَلَٰمٍ ءَامِنِينَ
Enter them in peace as ones who are safe
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 46
وَنَزَعۡنَا مَا فِي صُدُورِهِم مِّنۡ غِلٍّ إِخۡوَٰنًا عَلَىٰ سُرُرٖ مُّتَقَٰبِلِينَ
And We will tear out any grudges from their breasts. They will be as brothers/sisters on couches, one facing the other
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 47
لَا يَمَسُّهُمۡ فِيهَا نَصَبٞ وَمَا هُم مِّنۡهَا بِمُخۡرَجِينَ
In it neither fatigue will afflict them nor will they be ones who are driven out
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 48
۞نَبِّئۡ عِبَادِيٓ أَنِّيٓ أَنَا ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
Tell My servants that I am The Forgiving, The Compassionate
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 49
وَأَنَّ عَذَابِي هُوَ ٱلۡعَذَابُ ٱلۡأَلِيمُ
and that My punishment, it is a painful punishment
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 50
وَنَبِّئۡهُمۡ عَن ضَيۡفِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
And tell them about the guests of Abraham
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 51
إِذۡ دَخَلُواْ عَلَيۡهِ فَقَالُواْ سَلَٰمٗا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمۡ وَجِلُونَ
when they entered upon him and said: Peace! He said: Truly, we are afraid of you
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 52
قَالُواْ لَا تَوۡجَلۡ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَٰمٍ عَلِيمٖ
They said: Take no notice. Truly, we give thee good tidings of a knowing boy
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 53
قَالَ أَبَشَّرۡتُمُونِي عَلَىٰٓ أَن مَّسَّنِيَ ٱلۡكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ
He said: Gave you good tidings to me even though old age afflicted me? So of what give you good tidings
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 54
قَالُواْ بَشَّرۡنَٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلۡقَٰنِطِينَ
They said: We gave thee good tidings of The Truth, so thou art not of the ones who despair
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 55
قَالَ وَمَن يَقۡنَطُ مِن رَّحۡمَةِ رَبِّهِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلضَّآلُّونَ
He said: Who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, but the ones who go astray
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 56
قَالَ فَمَا خَطۡبُكُمۡ أَيُّهَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ
He said: Then, what is your business, O the ones who are sent
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 57
قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّآ أُرۡسِلۡنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمٖ مُّجۡرِمِينَ
They said: We were sent to a folk, ones who sin
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 58
إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٍ إِنَّا لَمُنَجُّوهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ
but the family of Lot. Truly, we are ones who will deliver them one and all
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 59
إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَهُۥ قَدَّرۡنَآ إِنَّهَا لَمِنَ ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ
but his woman. We ordained that she be of the ones who stay behind
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 60
فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ءَالَ لُوطٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ
Then, when the ones who are sent drew near the people of Lot
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 61
قَالَ إِنَّكُمۡ قَوۡمٞ مُّنكَرُونَ
he said: Truly, you are folk, ones unlawful to me
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 62
قَالُواْ بَلۡ جِئۡنَٰكَ بِمَا كَانُواْ فِيهِ يَمۡتَرُونَ
They said: Nay! We drew near thee with what they had been contesting in it
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 63
وَأَتَيۡنَٰكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَإِنَّا لَصَٰدِقُونَ
We approached thee with The Truth and, truly, we are ones who are sincere
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 64
فَأَسۡرِ بِأَهۡلِكَ بِقِطۡعٖ مِّنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ وَٱتَّبِعۡ أَدۡبَٰرَهُمۡ وَلَا يَلۡتَفِتۡ مِنكُمۡ أَحَدٞ وَٱمۡضُواْ حَيۡثُ تُؤۡمَرُونَ
Then, set forth with thy family in a part of the night and follow thou their backs and look not back any of you, but pass on to where you are commanded
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 65
وَقَضَيۡنَآ إِلَيۡهِ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡأَمۡرَ أَنَّ دَابِرَ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ مَقۡطُوعٞ مُّصۡبِحِينَ
And We decreed the command to him that the last remnant of these would be that which is severed, in that which is morning
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 66
وَجَآءَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡمَدِينَةِ يَسۡتَبۡشِرُونَ
The people of the city drew near rejoicing at the good tidings
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 67
قَالَ إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ ضَيۡفِي فَلَا تَفۡضَحُونِ
Lot said: Truly, these are my guests, so put me not to shame
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 68
وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَلَا تُخۡزُونِ
Be Godfearing of God and cover me not with shame
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 69
قَالُوٓاْ أَوَلَمۡ نَنۡهَكَ عَنِ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
They said: Prohibit we thee not from some beings
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 70
قَالَ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ بَنَاتِيٓ إِن كُنتُمۡ فَٰعِلِينَ
Lot said: These are my daughters if you hadst been ones who do something
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 71
لَعَمۡرُكَ إِنَّهُمۡ لَفِي سَكۡرَتِهِمۡ يَعۡمَهُونَ
By thy life, truly, they were in a daze, wandering unwilling to see
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 72
فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ مُشۡرِقِينَ
So the Cry took them at sunrise
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 73
فَجَعَلۡنَا عَٰلِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ حِجَارَةٗ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ
And We made its high part low and We rained down on them rocks of baked clay
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 74
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّلۡمُتَوَسِّمِينَ
Truly, in this are signs for the ones who read marks
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 75
وَإِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِيلٖ مُّقِيمٍ
And, truly, they are ones who are on an abiding way
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 76
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Truly, in it is a sign for the ones who believe
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 77
وَإِن كَانَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡأَيۡكَةِ لَظَٰلِمِينَ
And, truly, the Companions of the Thicket had been ones who are unjust
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 78
فَٱنتَقَمۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَبِإِمَامٖ مُّبِينٖ
so We requited them and they were both on a clear high road
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 79
وَلَقَدۡ كَذَّبَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡحِجۡرِ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
Certainly, the Companions of the Rocky Tract denied the ones who are sent
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 80
وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡ ءَايَٰتِنَا فَكَانُواْ عَنۡهَا مُعۡرِضِينَ
And We gave them Our signs. Then, they had been ones who turn aside from them
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 81
وَكَانُواْ يَنۡحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا ءَامِنِينَ
And they had been carving out safe houses from mountains
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 82
فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّيۡحَةُ مُصۡبِحِينَ
but the Cry took them in that which is morning
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 83
فَمَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ
And availed them not what they had been earning
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 84
وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّۗ وَإِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ لَأٓتِيَةٞۖ فَٱصۡفَحِ ٱلصَّفۡحَ ٱلۡجَمِيلَ
And We created not the heavens and the earth and whatever is in between them but with The Truth. And, truly, the Hour is one that arrives. So overlook with a graceful overlooking
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 85
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ ٱلۡخَلَّـٰقُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
Truly, thy Lord is The Knowing Creator
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 86
وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَٰكَ سَبۡعٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡمَثَانِي وَٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ ٱلۡعَظِيمَ
And, certainly, We gave thee seven often repeated parts of the sublime Quran
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 87
لَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيۡنَيۡكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَتَّعۡنَا بِهِۦٓ أَزۡوَٰجٗا مِّنۡهُمۡ وَلَا تَحۡزَنۡ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَٱخۡفِضۡ جَنَاحَكَ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
And stretch not out thy eyes for what We gave of enjoyment in this life to spouses among them, nor feel remorse for them, but make low thy wing in kindness to the ones who believe
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 88
وَقُلۡ إِنِّيٓ أَنَا ٱلنَّذِيرُ ٱلۡمُبِينُ
And say: Truly, I am a clear warner
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 89
كَمَآ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡمُقۡتَسِمِينَ
even as We caused to descend on the ones who are partitioners
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 90
ٱلَّذِينَ جَعَلُواْ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ عِضِينَ
those who made the Quran into fragments
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 91
فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَسۡـَٔلَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ
So by thy Lord, We will, certainly, ask them one and all
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 92
عَمَّا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ
about what they had been doing
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 93
فَٱصۡدَعۡ بِمَا تُؤۡمَرُ وَأَعۡرِضۡ عَنِ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ
So call aloud what thou art commanded: Turn aside from the ones who are polytheists
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 94
إِنَّا كَفَيۡنَٰكَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَهۡزِءِينَ
Truly, We sufficed thee against the ones who ridicule
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 95
ٱلَّذِينَ يَجۡعَلُونَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَۚ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُونَ
those who make with God another god. But they will know
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 96
وَلَقَدۡ نَعۡلَمُ أَنَّكَ يَضِيقُ صَدۡرُكَ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ
And, certainly, We know that thy breast became narrowed, injured in spirit, because of what they say
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 97
فَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ وَكُن مِّنَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
So glorify the praises of thy Lord and be among the ones who prostrate themselves
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 98
وَٱعۡبُدۡ رَبَّكَ حَتَّىٰ يَأۡتِيَكَ ٱلۡيَقِينُ
and worship thy Lord until the certainty approaches thee
Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 99
