Surah Ad-Dhuha - English Translation by Dr Munir Munshey
وَٱلضُّحَىٰ
(I swear) by the morning light
Surah Ad-Dhuha, Verse 1
وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ
And the night, as it becomes calm
Surah Ad-Dhuha, Verse 2
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ
(Oh Muhammad, SAW), your Lord has not forsaken you; He is not displeased
Surah Ad-Dhuha, Verse 3
وَلَلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرٞ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ
The life to come is better for you than the earlier life
Surah Ad-Dhuha, Verse 4
وَلَسَوۡفَ يُعۡطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرۡضَىٰٓ
Soon, your Lord will grant you (His blessings); you shall be well-pleased
Surah Ad-Dhuha, Verse 5
أَلَمۡ يَجِدۡكَ يَتِيمٗا فَـَٔاوَىٰ
Did He not find you an orphan, and gave you shelter
Surah Ad-Dhuha, Verse 6
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلّٗا فَهَدَىٰ
He found you unguided, and guided you
Surah Ad-Dhuha, Verse 7
وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلٗا فَأَغۡنَىٰ
Found you poor, and enriched you
Surah Ad-Dhuha, Verse 8
فَأَمَّا ٱلۡيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقۡهَرۡ
So do not oppress the orphan
Surah Ad-Dhuha, Verse 9
وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنۡهَرۡ
And do not (angrily) repulse (and rebuff) the needy, the beggar
Surah Ad-Dhuha, Verse 10
وَأَمَّا بِنِعۡمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثۡ
(Rather), proclaim the favors of your Lord
Surah Ad-Dhuha, Verse 11
