Surah Al-Inshirah - English Translation by N J Dawood
أَلَمۡ نَشۡرَحۡ لَكَ صَدۡرَكَ
HAVE WE not lifted up your heart
Surah Al-Inshirah, Verse 1
وَوَضَعۡنَا عَنكَ وِزۡرَكَ
and relieved you¹ of the burden
Surah Al-Inshirah, Verse 2
ٱلَّذِيٓ أَنقَضَ ظَهۡرَكَ
which weighed down your back
Surah Al-Inshirah, Verse 3
وَرَفَعۡنَا لَكَ ذِكۡرَكَ
And have We not given you high renown
Surah Al-Inshirah, Verse 4
فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلۡعُسۡرِ يُسۡرًا
With every hardship there comes ease
Surah Al-Inshirah, Verse 5
إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلۡعُسۡرِ يُسۡرٗا
With every hardship there comes ease
Surah Al-Inshirah, Verse 6
فَإِذَا فَرَغۡتَ فَٱنصَبۡ
When your prayers are ended resume your toil
Surah Al-Inshirah, Verse 7
وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَٱرۡغَب
and seek your Lord with all fervour
Surah Al-Inshirah, Verse 8
