Surah Al-Qadr - English Translation by Dr Laleh Bakhtiar
إِنَّآ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ فِي لَيۡلَةِ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ
Truly, We caused it to descend on the night of power
Surah Al-Qadr, Verse 1
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ
And what will cause thee to recognize what is the night of power
Surah Al-Qadr, Verse 2
لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ خَيۡرٞ مِّنۡ أَلۡفِ شَهۡرٖ
The night of power is better than a thousand months
Surah Al-Qadr, Verse 3
تَنَزَّلُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذۡنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمۡرٖ
The angels come forth and the Spirit during it with their Lord’s permission, with every command
Surah Al-Qadr, Verse 4
سَلَٰمٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطۡلَعِ ٱلۡفَجۡرِ
Peace it is until the time of the rising dawn
Surah Al-Qadr, Verse 5
