حمٓ
Haa Miim
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 1
وَٱلۡكِتَٰبِ ٱلۡمُبِينِ
By the book that makes (things) clear
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 2
إِنَّآ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ فِي لَيۡلَةٖ مُّبَٰرَكَةٍۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُنذِرِينَ
We certainly sent it down during a blessed night, We are certainly the Warners
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 3
فِيهَا يُفۡرَقُ كُلُّ أَمۡرٍ حَكِيمٍ
Every wise affair is made distinct in it (by)
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 4
أَمۡرٗا مِّنۡ عِندِنَآۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُرۡسِلِينَ
a command from Us, We are certainly the Senders
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 5
رَحۡمَةٗ مِّن رَّبِّكَۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
a mercy from your Fosterer, He is certainly the Hearing, the Knowing
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 6
رَبِّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَآۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ
the Fosterer of the skies and the earth and that which is between them, if you like to be of those who are certain
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 7
لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ يُحۡيِۦ وَيُمِيتُۖ رَبُّكُمۡ وَرَبُّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
There is no god except Him, He gives life and causes death, your Fosterer and the Fosterer of your forefathers
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 8
بَلۡ هُمۡ فِي شَكّٖ يَلۡعَبُونَ
No, they are in doubt (therefore) they are not serious
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 9
فَٱرۡتَقِبۡ يَوۡمَ تَأۡتِي ٱلسَّمَآءُ بِدُخَانٖ مُّبِينٖ
So be vigilant for the day when clear smoke will come from the sky
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 10
يَغۡشَى ٱلنَّاسَۖ هَٰذَا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ
which will cover mankind, this will be a painful punishment
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 11
رَّبَّنَا ٱكۡشِفۡ عَنَّا ٱلۡعَذَابَ إِنَّا مُؤۡمِنُونَ
(People will pray), “Our Fosterer! remove from us the punishment we will certainly believe.”
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 12
أَنَّىٰ لَهُمُ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ وَقَدۡ جَآءَهُمۡ رَسُولٞ مُّبِينٞ
How can their being mindful (be beneficial on that day), when a messenger who was clear (in his message) had come to them (earlier, but)
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 13
ثُمَّ تَوَلَّوۡاْ عَنۡهُ وَقَالُواْ مُعَلَّمٞ مَّجۡنُونٌ
then they had turned away from him while saying, “One taught (by others), one under the influence of jinn.”
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 14
إِنَّا كَاشِفُواْ ٱلۡعَذَابِ قَلِيلًاۚ إِنَّكُمۡ عَآئِدُونَ
We will remove the punishment a little (but) you will certainly return (to evil)
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 15
يَوۡمَ نَبۡطِشُ ٱلۡبَطۡشَةَ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰٓ إِنَّا مُنتَقِمُونَ
One day We will seize with a great seizure. We are certainly Inflicters of retribution
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 16
۞وَلَقَدۡ فَتَنَّا قَبۡلَهُمۡ قَوۡمَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَجَآءَهُمۡ رَسُولٞ كَرِيمٌ
And before them We had tested the people of Firawn, when an honourable messenger came to them, (saying)
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 17
أَنۡ أَدُّوٓاْ إِلَيَّ عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِۖ إِنِّي لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٞ
that, “Deliver to me the servants of Allah (children of Israel), I am a trustworthy messenger to you,”
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 18
وَأَن لَّا تَعۡلُواْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِۖ إِنِّيٓ ءَاتِيكُم بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ مُّبِينٖ
and that, “Do not transgress against Allah, I have come to you with a clear authority
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 19
وَإِنِّي عُذۡتُ بِرَبِّي وَرَبِّكُمۡ أَن تَرۡجُمُونِ
And I seek the protection of my Fosterer and your Fosterer, lest you stone me
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 20
وَإِن لَّمۡ تُؤۡمِنُواْ لِي فَٱعۡتَزِلُونِ
And if you do not believe me then withdraw from me.”
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 21
فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ قَوۡمٞ مُّجۡرِمُونَ
Then he prayed to his Fosterer that, “These are a people who are criminals
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 22
فَأَسۡرِ بِعِبَادِي لَيۡلًا إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ
(Musa was ordered by Allah), “Then travel (away at) night with My servants, you will certainly be pursued (by Firawn’s army)
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 23
وَٱتۡرُكِ ٱلۡبَحۡرَ رَهۡوًاۖ إِنَّهُمۡ جُندٞ مُّغۡرَقُونَ
and let the sea remain (as a dry path in the form of) a furrow (bounded by water on two sides), they are an army to be drowned.”
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 24
كَمۡ تَرَكُواْ مِن جَنَّـٰتٖ وَعُيُونٖ
How many of the gardens and springs have they left (behind)
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 25
وَزُرُوعٖ وَمَقَامٖ كَرِيمٖ
and corn fields and places of honour
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 26
وَنَعۡمَةٖ كَانُواْ فِيهَا فَٰكِهِينَ
and comforts in which they used to be joyful
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 27
كَذَٰلِكَۖ وَأَوۡرَثۡنَٰهَا قَوۡمًا ءَاخَرِينَ
Thus (it happened), and We made other people to inherit (all those things)
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 28
فَمَا بَكَتۡ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ وَٱلۡأَرۡضُ وَمَا كَانُواْ مُنظَرِينَ
So neither the sky nor the earth wept over them, nor were they given time (for amendment)
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 29
وَلَقَدۡ نَجَّيۡنَا بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ مِنَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ ٱلۡمُهِينِ
And We saved the children of Israel from the disgraceful punishment
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 30
مِن فِرۡعَوۡنَۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَالِيٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ
of Firawn, he was certainly a transgressor, one among the extravagant
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 31
وَلَقَدِ ٱخۡتَرۡنَٰهُمۡ عَلَىٰ عِلۡمٍ عَلَى ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
And We chose them on (the issue of) knowledge, above the worlds (all people)
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 32
وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ مَا فِيهِ بَلَـٰٓؤٞاْ مُّبِينٌ
and We brought to them such of the signs in which there was clear trial
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 33
إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَيَقُولُونَ
These certainly say
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 34
إِنۡ هِيَ إِلَّا مَوۡتَتُنَا ٱلۡأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُنشَرِينَ
“There is nothing but our first death and we will not be raised again
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 35
فَأۡتُواْ بِـَٔابَآئِنَآ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ
then bring back our fathers if you are truthful.”
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 36
أَهُمۡ خَيۡرٌ أَمۡ قَوۡمُ تُبَّعٖ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ مُجۡرِمِينَ
Are they better or the people of Tubba and those before them? We destroyed them, they were certainly criminals
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 37
وَمَا خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا لَٰعِبِينَ
And We did not create the skies and the earth and that which is between them, in play
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 38
مَا خَلَقۡنَٰهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ
We did not create them but in reality, but the majority of them does not know
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 39
إِنَّ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ مِيقَٰتُهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ
The day of decision is certainly their appointed term, of all of them
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 40
يَوۡمَ لَا يُغۡنِي مَوۡلًى عَن مَّوۡلٗى شَيۡـٔٗا وَلَا هُمۡ يُنصَرُونَ
A day on which a friend will not be of any use to (another) friend in anything, nor will they be helped
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 41
إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
except him on whom Allah has mercy. He is certainly the Mighty, the Merciful
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 42
إِنَّ شَجَرَتَ ٱلزَّقُّومِ
Certainly the tree of Zaqqum
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 43
طَعَامُ ٱلۡأَثِيمِ
is food of the sinner
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 44
كَٱلۡمُهۡلِ يَغۡلِي فِي ٱلۡبُطُونِ
like molten brass, it will boil in the stomachs
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 45
كَغَلۡيِ ٱلۡحَمِيمِ
like the boiling of hot water
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 46
خُذُوهُ فَٱعۡتِلُوهُ إِلَىٰ سَوَآءِ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ
(It will be said), “Catch him then drag him to the middle of the hell
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 47
ثُمَّ صُبُّواْ فَوۡقَ رَأۡسِهِۦ مِنۡ عَذَابِ ٱلۡحَمِيمِ
then pour above his head, from the tormenting boiling water
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 48
ذُقۡ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلۡكَرِيمُ
Taste ! you were the mighty, the honoured
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 49
إِنَّ هَٰذَا مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَمۡتَرُونَ
This is certainly that about which you used to doubt.”
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 50
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي مَقَامٍ أَمِينٖ
Those who guarded (against evil) will certainly be in a secure place
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 51
فِي جَنَّـٰتٖ وَعُيُونٖ
in gardens and springs
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 52
يَلۡبَسُونَ مِن سُندُسٖ وَإِسۡتَبۡرَقٖ مُّتَقَٰبِلِينَ
dressed in fine and thick silk, facing each other
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 53
كَذَٰلِكَ وَزَوَّجۡنَٰهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٖ
Thus (it will happen).And We will pair them with fair ones (having) wide beautiful eyes
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 54
يَدۡعُونَ فِيهَا بِكُلِّ فَٰكِهَةٍ ءَامِنِينَ
Therein, they will call for every fruit, being secure
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 55
لَا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا ٱلۡمَوۡتَ إِلَّا ٱلۡمَوۡتَةَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰۖ وَوَقَىٰهُمۡ عَذَابَ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ
They will not taste death therein, except the first death, and He will save them from the punishment of hell
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 56
فَضۡلٗا مِّن رَّبِّكَۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِيمُ
A grace from your Fosterer, that is the great achievement
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 57
فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرۡنَٰهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
So We have made the (Quran) easy in your language only that they may be mindful
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 58
فَٱرۡتَقِبۡ إِنَّهُم مُّرۡتَقِبُونَ
So be vigilant, they (too) are certainly vigilant
Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 59
