Surah Ar-Rahman - English Translation by Literal
ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ
The merciful
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 1
عَلَّمَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ
He taught/instructed the Koran
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 2
خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ
He created the human/mankind
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 3
عَلَّمَهُ ٱلۡبَيَانَ
He taught/instructed him the evidence/logic
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 4
ٱلشَّمۡسُ وَٱلۡقَمَرُ بِحُسۡبَانٖ
The sun and the moon with a count/calculation
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 5
وَٱلنَّجۡمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسۡجُدَانِ
And the star/planet and the trees, they (B) prostrate
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 6
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلۡمِيزَانَ
And the sky/space He rose it, and He laid/put/raised the scale/measuring instrument
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 7
أَلَّا تَطۡغَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡمِيزَانِ
That you not tyrannize/exceed the limit in the scale/measuring instrument
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 8
وَأَقِيمُواْ ٱلۡوَزۡنَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ وَلَا تُخۡسِرُواْ ٱلۡمِيزَانَ
And keep up the weight/measure with the just/equitable, and do not reduce/decrease (cheat) in the scale/measuring instrument
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 9
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلۡأَنَامِ
And the earth/Planet Earth, He laid it for the creation
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 10
فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٞ وَٱلنَّخۡلُ ذَاتُ ٱلۡأَكۡمَامِ
In it (are) fruits and the palm trees that of the buds/covers from which fruits and flowers emerge
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 11
وَٱلۡحَبُّ ذُو ٱلۡعَصۡفِ وَٱلرَّيۡحَانُ
And the seed/grain (of) the husk/chaff/external cover of seeds, and the basil/fragrant plants
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 12
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 13
خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلۡصَٰلٖ كَٱلۡفَخَّارِ
He created the human/mankind from dry mud/clay as the pottery/earthenware
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 14
وَخَلَقَ ٱلۡجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٖ مِّن نَّارٖ
And He created the Jinn from (the) flaming blazing torch mixed with blackened smoke from fire
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 15
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 16
رَبُّ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقَيۡنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلۡمَغۡرِبَيۡنِ
The two sun rises`/easts` Lord, and the two sunsets`/declines` Lord
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 17
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 18
مَرَجَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَيۡنِ يَلۡتَقِيَانِ
The two large bodies of water usually salty mixed/set loose, they (B) meet
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 19
بَيۡنَهُمَا بَرۡزَخٞ لَّا يَبۡغِيَانِ
Between them (B) (is) a barrier , they (B) do not transgress
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 20
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 21
يَخۡرُجُ مِنۡهُمَا ٱللُّؤۡلُؤُ وَٱلۡمَرۡجَانُ
The pearls and the corals emerge from them (B)
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 22
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 23
وَلَهُ ٱلۡجَوَارِ ٱلۡمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِي ٱلۡبَحۡرِ كَٱلۡأَعۡلَٰمِ
And for Him (are) the ships/flowing/passing the raised/developed in the sea/ocean as/like the banners/mountains
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 24
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 25
كُلُّ مَنۡ عَلَيۡهَا فَانٖ
Each/every who (is) on it (is) vanishing/being destroyed
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 26
وَيَبۡقَىٰ وَجۡهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلۡجَلَٰلِ وَٱلۡإِكۡرَامِ
And your Lord`s face/front/direction (owner) of the glory/splendor and the honour/generosity remains/continues
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 27
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 28
يَسۡـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ كُلَّ يَوۡمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأۡنٖ
Who (ever is) in the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth asks/questions him, each/every day/time He is in a great matter/affair/concern
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 29
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 30
سَنَفۡرُغُ لَكُمۡ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ
We will finish/end/complete (free ourselves) for you, oh you, the humans and Jinns (the two weights)
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 31
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 32
يَٰمَعۡشَرَ ٱلۡجِنِّ وَٱلۡإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُمۡ أَن تَنفُذُواْ مِنۡ أَقۡطَارِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَٱنفُذُواْۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ
You race/society (of) the Jinns and human/mankind, if you were able that (E) you penetrate/pierce from the skies`/space`s and the earth`s/Planet Earth`s regions/diameters/chords , so penetrate/pierce , you do not penetrate/pierce except with power/ authority
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 33
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 34
يُرۡسَلُ عَلَيۡكُمَا شُوَاظٞ مِّن نَّارٖ وَنُحَاسٞ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ
He sends on you (B) a smokeless flame/blazing heat from fire and copper/sparks of molten iron , so you (B) do not become victorious
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 35
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 36
فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتۡ وَرۡدَةٗ كَٱلدِّهَانِ
So if the sky/space split/cut open , so it was a red/a rose as/like the paint/painted with oil
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 37
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 38
فَيَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّا يُسۡـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٞ وَلَا جَآنّٞ
So that day (end of the world till judgment takes place), a human/mankind and nor a Jinn (will) be asked/questioned about his crime
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 39
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 40
يُعۡرَفُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ بِسِيمَٰهُمۡ فَيُؤۡخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِي وَٱلۡأَقۡدَامِ
The criminals/sinners (will) be known by their marks/identifications/expressions, so (they) will be taken by the foreheads/forehead`s hair (bangs), and the feet
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 41
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 42
هَٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ
This is Hell which the criminals/sinners lie/deny with it
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 43
يَطُوفُونَ بَيۡنَهَا وَبَيۡنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٖ
They circle/walk around between it and between hot water/cold water/red hot coal blazing/glowing
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 44
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 45
وَلِمَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ
And to who feared His Lord`s place/position , two treed gardens
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 46
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 47
ذَوَاتَآ أَفۡنَانٖ
of (the two treed gardens) have branches
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 48
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 49
فِيهِمَا عَيۡنَانِ تَجۡرِيَانِ
In them (B) (are) two water springs/wells, they (B) flow
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 50
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 51
فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَٰكِهَةٖ زَوۡجَانِ
In them (B) (are) from every/each fruits, a pair/couple/two kinds
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 52
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 53
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشِۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنۡ إِسۡتَبۡرَقٖۚ وَجَنَى ٱلۡجَنَّتَيۡنِ دَانٖ
Leaning/reclining on on spreads/beds its lining/interior (is) from brocade , and the two treed gardens` harvest (fruits is) near
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 54
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 55
فِيهِنَّ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرۡفِ لَمۡ يَطۡمِثۡهُنَّ إِنسٞ قَبۡلَهُمۡ وَلَا جَآنّٞ
In them (B) (are) confining the eyes, (they) were not touched (by) a human before them, and nor Jinn
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 56
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 57
كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلۡيَاقُوتُ وَٱلۡمَرۡجَانُ
As if/though they (F) are corundum/hardest mineral after diamond (rubies/sapphires/ topazes), and the corals
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 58
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 59
هَلۡ جَزَآءُ ٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنُ
Is the goodness` reimbursement , except the goodness
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 60
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 61
وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ
And from other than them (B) two treed gardens
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 62
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 63
مُدۡهَآمَّتَانِ
(are) blackish green and fragrant
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 64
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 65
فِيهِمَا عَيۡنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ
In them (B) (are) two water springs/wells, (B) flowing/gushing
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 66
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 67
فِيهِمَا فَٰكِهَةٞ وَنَخۡلٞ وَرُمَّانٞ
In them (B) (are) fruits, and palm trees, and pomegranate
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 68
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 69
فِيهِنَّ خَيۡرَٰتٌ حِسَانٞ
In them (B) (are) very beautiful good/generous
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 70
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 71
حُورٞ مَّقۡصُورَٰتٞ فِي ٱلۡخِيَامِ
Dilated pupils (very beautiful) confined/limited in the tents
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 72
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 73
لَمۡ يَطۡمِثۡهُنَّ إِنسٞ قَبۡلَهُمۡ وَلَا جَآنّٞ
(They) were not touched (by) a human before them, and nor Jinn
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 74
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 75
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفۡرَفٍ خُضۡرٖ وَعَبۡقَرِيٍّ حِسَانٖ
Leaning/relining on green carpets/pillows/silk and very beautiful fine carpets
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 76
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
So with which (of) your (B)`s (humans and Jinns) Lord`s blessings (do) you (B) deny/falsify
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 77
تَبَٰرَكَ ٱسۡمُ رَبِّكَ ذِي ٱلۡجَلَٰلِ وَٱلۡإِكۡرَامِ
Blessed (is) your Lord`s name, (owner) of the glory/splendor and the honour/generosity
Surah Ar-Rahman, Verse 78
