Surah Al-Masadd - English Translation by Abdul Hye
تَبَّتۡ يَدَآ أَبِي لَهَبٖ وَتَبَّ
Perish the 2 hands of Abu Lahab (uncle of the prophet) and perish him
Surah Al-Masadd, Verse 1
مَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ
His wealth and whatever he earned did not benefit him
Surah Al-Masadd, Verse 2
سَيَصۡلَىٰ نَارٗا ذَاتَ لَهَبٖ
He will be burnt soon in a fire of blazing flames
Surah Al-Masadd, Verse 3
وَٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلۡحَطَبِ
and his wife, the carrier of wood (she used to put thorns on the way of the prophet)
Surah Al-Masadd, Verse 4
فِي جِيدِهَا حَبۡلٞ مِّن مَّسَدِۭ
she will have a twisted rope of palm fiber around her neck
