Surah Adh-Dhariyat - English Translation by Literal

وَٱلذَّـٰرِيَٰتِ ذَرۡوٗا

And/by the scatterers/spreaders , scattering/spreading
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 1

فَٱلۡحَٰمِلَٰتِ وِقۡرٗا

So the clouds carrying rain , a heavy weight
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 2

فَٱلۡجَٰرِيَٰتِ يُسۡرٗا

So the flowing/orbiting , easily/flexibly
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 3

فَٱلۡمُقَسِّمَٰتِ أَمۡرًا

So the apportioners/distributors a matter/affair/order/command
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 4

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٞ

Truly/indeed what you are being promised is truthful/true (E)
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 5

وَإِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ لَوَٰقِعٞ

And that truly the religion/debt/rule/might (is) happening/landing (E)
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 6

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلۡحُبُكِ

And the sky/space (owner) of the paths/courses (movements/orbits)
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 7

إِنَّكُمۡ لَفِي قَوۡلٖ مُّخۡتَلِفٖ

That you truly are in (E) (a) different word/statement
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 8

يُؤۡفَكُ عَنۡهُ مَنۡ أُفِكَ

Who was lied to/turned away from it, he (will) be lied to/turned away
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 9

قُتِلَ ٱلۡخَرَّـٰصُونَ

The liars/speculators were killed
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 10

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ فِي غَمۡرَةٖ سَاهُونَ

Those who, they are in an intoxication/hatred (are) careless/negligent
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 11

يَسۡـَٔلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ

They question/ask when (is) the Judgment Day/the Resurrection Day
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 12

يَوۡمَ هُمۡ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفۡتَنُونَ

A day/time they are on the fire they are being tortured
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 13

ذُوقُواْ فِتۡنَتَكُمۡ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ

Taste/experience your misguidance/seduction this, which you were with it hurrying/hastening
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 14

إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّـٰتٖ وَعُيُونٍ

That truly the fearing and obeying (are) in treed gardens/paradises and water springs/wells
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 15

ءَاخِذِينَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ قَبۡلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحۡسِنِينَ

Taking what their Lord gave them, that they were before that good doers
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 16

كَانُواْ قَلِيلٗا مِّنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ مَا يَهۡجَعُونَ

They were little from the night what they (spend in) sleep
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 17

وَبِٱلۡأَسۡحَارِ هُمۡ يَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَ

And at the times at end of night before dawn they ask for forgiveness
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 18

وَفِيٓ أَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡ حَقّٞ لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلۡمَحۡرُومِ

And in their properties/possessions (is) a share/duty for the asker/questioner/beggar and the deprived
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 19

وَفِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ءَايَٰتٞ لِّلۡمُوقِنِينَ

And in the earth/Planet Earth (are) evidences/signs for the sure/certain
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 20

وَفِيٓ أَنفُسِكُمۡۚ أَفَلَا تُبۡصِرُونَ

And in your selves, so do you not see/look/understand
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 21

وَفِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزۡقُكُمۡ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ

And in the sky/space (is) your provision and what you are being promised
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 22

فَوَرَبِّ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقّٞ مِّثۡلَ مَآ أَنَّكُمۡ تَنطِقُونَ

So with/by the skies`/space`s and the earth`s/Planet Earth`s Lord, that it truly is true (E) , equal/alike (to) what that you, you speak
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 23

هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيۡفِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ ٱلۡمُكۡرَمِينَ

Did information/speech (of) Abraham`s guests, the honoured, come to you
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 24

إِذۡ دَخَلُواْ عَلَيۡهِ فَقَالُواْ سَلَٰمٗاۖ قَالَ سَلَٰمٞ قَوۡمٞ مُّنكَرُونَ

When they entered on him, so they said: "A greeting/security/peace." He said: "A greeting/security/peace (you) unknown/disguised nation
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 25

فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِۦ فَجَآءَ بِعِجۡلٖ سَمِينٖ

So he conned his way to his family/relation , so he came with a fat/fleshy (M) calf
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 26

فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ إِلَيۡهِمۡ قَالَ أَلَا تَأۡكُلُونَ

So he neared/approached it to them, he said: "Do you not eat
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 27

فَأَوۡجَسَ مِنۡهُمۡ خِيفَةٗۖ قَالُواْ لَا تَخَفۡۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ عَلِيمٖ

So he felt inner horror/fear from them, they said: "Do not fear." And they announced good news to him with a knowledgeable boy (son)
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 28

فَأَقۡبَلَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ فِي صَرَّةٖ فَصَكَّتۡ وَجۡهَهَا وَقَالَتۡ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٞ

So his woman (wife) approached/came in an outcry/frown, so she hit/struck (an act of surprise) her face/front and she said: "Old/weak, infertile
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 29

قَالُواْ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ

They said: "As/like that your Lord said, that He truly, He is the wise/judicious, the knowledgeable
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 30

۞قَالَ فَمَا خَطۡبُكُمۡ أَيُّهَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ

He said: "So what (is) your matter/affair/concern, oh you the messengers
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 31

قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّآ أُرۡسِلۡنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمٖ مُّجۡرِمِينَ

They said: "That we, we were sent to a nation committing crimes/sins
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 32

لِنُرۡسِلَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حِجَارَةٗ مِّن طِينٖ

To send on them stones from mud/clay
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 33

مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ

Marked/identified/distinguished at your Lord for the spoilers/extravagators/wasters
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 34

فَأَخۡرَجۡنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

So We brought out who was in it from the believers
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 35

فَمَا وَجَدۡنَا فِيهَا غَيۡرَ بَيۡتٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ

So We did not find in it other than (a) house/home from the submitters/Moslems
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 36

وَتَرَكۡنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَةٗ لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَلِيمَ

And We left in it an evidence/sign to those who fear the torture, the painful
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 37

وَفِي مُوسَىٰٓ إِذۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ مُّبِينٖ

And in Moses when We sent him to Pharaoh with a clear/evident proof/evidence
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 38

فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكۡنِهِۦ وَقَالَ سَٰحِرٌ أَوۡ مَجۡنُونٞ

So he turned away at his corner/strong support, and he said: "A magician/sorcerer, or mad/insane
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 39

فَأَخَذۡنَٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ فَنَبَذۡنَٰهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٞ

So We punished/took him and his soldiers/warriors , so We discarded them/casted them off in the body of water, and he is blameworthy/blamed
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 40

وَفِي عَادٍ إِذۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلرِّيحَ ٱلۡعَقِيمَ

And in Aad, when We sent on them the wind/breeze, the infertile/sterile
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 41

مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَيۡءٍ أَتَتۡ عَلَيۡهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتۡهُ كَٱلرَّمِيمِ

It does not leave from a thing it came on it, except it made it as/like the decomposed/decayed
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 42

وَفِي ثَمُودَ إِذۡ قِيلَ لَهُمۡ تَمَتَّعُواْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٖ

And in Thamud , when (it) was said to them: "Live long/enjoy until a time/period of time
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 43

فَعَتَوۡاْ عَنۡ أَمۡرِ رَبِّهِمۡ فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّـٰعِقَةُ وَهُمۡ يَنظُرُونَ

So they become arrogant/disobedient from their Lord`s order/command, so the death/destructive torture punished/took them, and (while) they are looking/watching
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 44

فَمَا ٱسۡتَطَٰعُواْ مِن قِيَامٖ وَمَا كَانُواْ مُنتَصِرِينَ

So they were not able from getting up/standing, and they were not victorious
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 45

وَقَوۡمَ نُوحٖ مِّن قَبۡلُۖ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ قَوۡمٗا فَٰسِقِينَ

And Noah`s nation from before, that they truly were a nation (of) debauchers
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 46

وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيۡنَٰهَا بِأَيۡيْدٖ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ

And the sky/space We built/constructed it with power/support , and We (E) are extending/spreading (E)
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 47

وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ فَرَشۡنَٰهَا فَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡمَٰهِدُونَ

And the earth/Planet Earth We spread it out so the levelers/preparers (are) blessed/praise
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 48

وَمِن كُلِّ شَيۡءٍ خَلَقۡنَا زَوۡجَيۡنِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُونَ

And from every thing We created a pair/couple , maybe/perhaps you mention/remember
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 49

فَفِرُّوٓاْ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۖ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنۡهُ نَذِيرٞ مُّبِينٞ

So escape/flee to God, that I am for you from Him a clear/evident warner/giver of notice
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 50

وَلَا تَجۡعَلُواْ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَۖ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنۡهُ نَذِيرٞ مُّبِينٞ

And do not make/put with God another god, that I am for you from Him a clear/evident warner/giver of notice
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 51

كَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَتَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُواْ سَاحِرٌ أَوۡ مَجۡنُونٌ

As/like that none from a messenger came to those from before them except (that) they said: "A magician/sorcerer, or mad/insane
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 52

أَتَوَاصَوۡاْ بِهِۦۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمٞ طَاغُونَ

Do they command/entrust with it? But they are a tyrannizing/arrogant nation
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 53

فَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِمَلُومٖ

So turn away from them, so you are not with being blamed/reprimanded
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 54

وَذَكِّرۡ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ

And remind, so that the reminder/remembrance benefits/becomes useful (to) the believers
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 55

وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ ٱلۡجِنَّ وَٱلۡإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُونِ

And I did not create the Jinns and the human/mankind except to worship Me
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 56

مَآ أُرِيدُ مِنۡهُم مِّن رِّزۡقٖ وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَن يُطۡعِمُونِ

I do not want/intend from them from provision , and I do not want/intend that (E) they feed Me
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 57

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ ذُو ٱلۡقُوَّةِ ٱلۡمَتِينُ

That truly God, He is the provider, (owner) of the power/strength, the solid/sturdy
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 58

فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ ذَنُوبٗا مِّثۡلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصۡحَٰبِهِمۡ فَلَا يَسۡتَعۡجِلُونِ

So that to those who were unjust/oppressive (are) crimes, equal/alike (to) their company`s/friends` crimes, so do not hurry/hasten Me
Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Verse 59
