Surah Al-Burooj - English Translation by Mustafa Khattab Allah Edition
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلۡبُرُوجِ
By the sky full of constellations
Surah Al-Burooj, Verse 1
وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡمَوۡعُودِ
and the promised Day ˹of Judgment˺
Surah Al-Burooj, Verse 2
وَشَاهِدٖ وَمَشۡهُودٖ
and the witness and what is witnessed
Surah Al-Burooj, Verse 3
قُتِلَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡأُخۡدُودِ
Condemned are the makers of the ditch—
Surah Al-Burooj, Verse 4
ٱلنَّارِ ذَاتِ ٱلۡوَقُودِ
the fire ˹pit˺, filled with fuel—
Surah Al-Burooj, Verse 5
إِذۡ هُمۡ عَلَيۡهَا قُعُودٞ
when they sat around it
Surah Al-Burooj, Verse 6
وَهُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفۡعَلُونَ بِٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ شُهُودٞ
watching what they had ˹ordered to be˺ done to the believers
Surah Al-Burooj, Verse 7
وَمَا نَقَمُواْ مِنۡهُمۡ إِلَّآ أَن يُؤۡمِنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡحَمِيدِ
who they resented for no reason other than belief in Allah—the Almighty, the Praiseworthy—
Surah Al-Burooj, Verse 8
ٱلَّذِي لَهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ شَهِيدٌ
˹the One˺ to Whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is a Witness over all things
Surah Al-Burooj, Verse 9
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَتَنُواْ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمۡ يَتُوبُواْ فَلَهُمۡ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابُ ٱلۡحَرِيقِ
Those who persecute the believing men and women and then do not repent will certainly suffer the punishment of Hell and the torment of burning
Surah Al-Burooj, Verse 10
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمۡ جَنَّـٰتٞ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡكَبِيرُ
Surely those who believe and do good will have Gardens under which rivers flow. That is the greatest triumph
Surah Al-Burooj, Verse 11
إِنَّ بَطۡشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ
Indeed, the ˹crushing˺ grip of your Lord is severe
Surah Al-Burooj, Verse 12
إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ يُبۡدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ
˹For˺ He is certainly the One Who originates and resurrects ˹all˺
Surah Al-Burooj, Verse 13
وَهُوَ ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلۡوَدُودُ
And He is the All-Forgiving, All-Loving—
Surah Al-Burooj, Verse 14
ذُو ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ٱلۡمَجِيدُ
Lord of the Throne, the All-Glorious
Surah Al-Burooj, Verse 15
فَعَّالٞ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ
Doer of whatever He wills
Surah Al-Burooj, Verse 16
هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلۡجُنُودِ
Has the story of the ˹destroyed˺ forces reached you ˹O Prophet˺—
Surah Al-Burooj, Verse 17
فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَثَمُودَ
˹the forces of˺ Pharaoh and Thamûd
Surah Al-Burooj, Verse 18
بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فِي تَكۡذِيبٖ
Yet the disbelievers ˹still˺ persist in denial
Surah Al-Burooj, Verse 19
وَٱللَّهُ مِن وَرَآئِهِم مُّحِيطُۢ
But Allah encompasses them from all sides
Surah Al-Burooj, Verse 20
بَلۡ هُوَ قُرۡءَانٞ مَّجِيدٞ
In fact, this is a glorious Quran
Surah Al-Burooj, Verse 21
فِي لَوۡحٖ مَّحۡفُوظِۭ
˹recorded˺ in a Preserved Tablet
Surah Al-Burooj, Verse 22
