and by the night when it comes
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 4

are these oaths not sufficient for those who have sense
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 5

Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with ‘Ād
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 6

of Iram, who were people of great stature
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 7

the like of whom had never been created in the land
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 8

and Thamūd, who carved out the rocks in the Valley
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 9

and the mighty and powerful Pharaoh
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 10

All of them transgressed in the land
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 11

                  and spread therein much corruption
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 12

so your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 13

Indeed, your Lord is ever vigilant
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 14

As for man, when he is tested by his Lord by honoring him and bestowing blessings upon him, he says, “My Lord has [deservedly] honored me!”
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 15

But when he is tested by restricting his provision, he says, “My Lord has [undeservedly] humiliated me!”
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 16

No indeed! You are not kind to the orphan
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 17

nor do you urge one another to feed the needy
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 18

and you greedily consume the entire inheritance
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 19

                  and love wealth immensely
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 20

No indeed! When the earth is crushed over and over
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 21

and your Lord comes with the angels, rank after rank
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 22

and Hell is brought near on that Day – this is when man will understand, but what is the use of that understanding
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 23

He will say, “Would that I had sent forth something for my [eternal] life!”
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 24

None can punish as He punishes on that Day
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 25

and none can bind as He binds
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 26

[It will be said to the believer,] “O the tranquil soul
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 27

Return to your Lord, well pleased and pleasing [to Him]
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 28

                  Join My [righteous] slaves
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 29

                  and enter My Paradise.”
                  Surah Al-Fajr, Verse 30
