Surah AL-Infitar - English Translation by Safi Ur Rahman Al Mubarakpuri
إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتۡ
When the heaven is cleft asunder (Infatarat)
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 1
وَإِذَا ٱلۡكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتۡ
And when the stars Intatharat
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 2
وَإِذَا ٱلۡبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتۡ
And when the seas Fujjirat
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 3
وَإِذَا ٱلۡقُبُورُ بُعۡثِرَتۡ
And when the graves Bu`thirat
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 4
عَلِمَتۡ نَفۡسٞ مَّا قَدَّمَتۡ وَأَخَّرَتۡ
A person will know what he has sent forward and left behind
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 5
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلۡكَرِيمِ
O man! What has made you careless about your Lord, the Most Generous
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 6
ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ
Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 7
فِيٓ أَيِّ صُورَةٖ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ
In whatever form He willed, He put you together
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 8
كَلَّا بَلۡ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ
Nay! But you deny (the Day of) Ad-Din
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 9
وَإِنَّ عَلَيۡكُمۡ لَحَٰفِظِينَ
But verily, over you to watch you
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 10
كِرَامٗا كَٰتِبِينَ
Kiraman Katibin
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 11
يَعۡلَمُونَ مَا تَفۡعَلُونَ
They know all that you do
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 12
إِنَّ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٖ
Verily, the Abrar (the righteous believers) will be in Delight
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 13
وَإِنَّ ٱلۡفُجَّارَ لَفِي جَحِيمٖ
And verily, the wicked will be in the blazing Fire (Hell)
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 14
يَصۡلَوۡنَهَا يَوۡمَ ٱلدِّينِ
Therein they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 15
وَمَا هُمۡ عَنۡهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ
And they will not be absent therefrom
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 16
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ
And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 17
ثُمَّ مَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ
Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 18
يَوۡمَ لَا تَمۡلِكُ نَفۡسٞ لِّنَفۡسٖ شَيۡـٔٗاۖ وَٱلۡأَمۡرُ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلَّهِ
(It will be) the Day when no person shall have power for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be with Allah
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 19
