Surah AL-Infitar - English Translation by Ali Bakhtiari Nejad
إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتۡ
When the sky is split
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 1
وَإِذَا ٱلۡكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتۡ
and when the stars are scattered
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 2
وَإِذَا ٱلۡبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتۡ
and when the seas are flooded (and overflow)
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 3
وَإِذَا ٱلۡقُبُورُ بُعۡثِرَتۡ
and when the graves are turned upside down
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 4
عَلِمَتۡ نَفۡسٞ مَّا قَدَّمَتۡ وَأَخَّرَتۡ
a person knows what he sent ahead and put off
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 5
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلۡكَرِيمِ
Human being, what deceived you about your noble Master
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 6
ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ
The One who created you, then He shaped you and balanced you
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 7
فِيٓ أَيِّ صُورَةٖ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ
And He put you together in whatever form He wanted
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 8
كَلَّا بَلۡ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ
No way, but you deny the Judgment
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 9
وَإِنَّ عَلَيۡكُمۡ لَحَٰفِظِينَ
while indeed there are guardians over you
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 10
كِرَامٗا كَٰتِبِينَ
nobles writing down
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 11
يَعۡلَمُونَ مَا تَفۡعَلُونَ
who know whatever you do
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 12
إِنَّ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٖ
Indeed the good ones are in delight
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 13
وَإِنَّ ٱلۡفُجَّارَ لَفِي جَحِيمٖ
and indeed the immoral ones are in hellfire
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 14
يَصۡلَوۡنَهَا يَوۡمَ ٱلدِّينِ
They enter (and burn in) there on the judgment day
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 15
وَمَا هُمۡ عَنۡهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ
and they are not absent from it (beyond its reach)
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 16
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ
And do you know what the judgment day is
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 17
ثُمَّ مَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ
And again, do you know what the judgment day is
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 18
يَوۡمَ لَا تَمۡلِكُ نَفۡسٞ لِّنَفۡسٖ شَيۡـٔٗاۖ وَٱلۡأَمۡرُ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلَّهِ
A day when a person does not have the least bit of power for another one, and on that day the command (and judgment) belongs to God
Surah AL-Infitar, Verse 19
