Surah Al-Mursalat - English Translation by Ali Bakhtiari Nejad
وَٱلۡمُرۡسَلَٰتِ عُرۡفٗا
By those sent in succession
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 1
فَٱلۡعَٰصِفَٰتِ عَصۡفٗا
then by the hurricane, gusting
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 2
وَٱلنَّـٰشِرَٰتِ نَشۡرٗا
and by the spreaders, spreading
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 3
فَٱلۡفَٰرِقَٰتِ فَرۡقٗا
then by the separators, separating
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 4
فَٱلۡمُلۡقِيَٰتِ ذِكۡرًا
then by those communicating a reminder
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 5
عُذۡرًا أَوۡ نُذۡرًا
as an excuse or as a warning
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 6
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٞ
that indeed what you are promised shall occur
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 7
فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتۡ
So when the stars are wiped out
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 8
وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتۡ
and when the sky is split open
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 9
وَإِذَا ٱلۡجِبَالُ نُسِفَتۡ
and when the mountains are powdered
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 10
وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتۡ
and when the messengers' time is set
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 11
لِأَيِّ يَوۡمٍ أُجِّلَتۡ
For what day is the appointment set
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 12
لِيَوۡمِ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ
For the day of separation/decision
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 13
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ
And do you know what the day of separation/decision is
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 14
وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Woe to the deniers on that day
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 15
أَلَمۡ نُهۡلِكِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
Did We not destroy the earlier ones
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 16
ثُمَّ نُتۡبِعُهُمُ ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ
Then We make the later ones follow them (in destruction)
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 17
كَذَٰلِكَ نَفۡعَلُ بِٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ
That is how We deal with the guilty ones
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 18
وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Woe to the deniers on that day
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 19
أَلَمۡ نَخۡلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٖ مَّهِينٖ
Did We not create you from despicable water
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 20
فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ فِي قَرَارٖ مَّكِينٍ
Then We placed it in a safe quarter (the womb)
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 21
إِلَىٰ قَدَرٖ مَّعۡلُومٖ
for a known period
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 22
فَقَدَرۡنَا فَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡقَٰدِرُونَ
So We are able, and We are very capable
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 23
وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Woe to the deniers on that day
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 24
أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ كِفَاتًا
Did We not make the earth a holder
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 25
أَحۡيَآءٗ وَأَمۡوَٰتٗا
(for) living and dead
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 26
وَجَعَلۡنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ شَٰمِخَٰتٖ وَأَسۡقَيۡنَٰكُم مَّآءٗ فُرَاتٗا
And We placed towering mountains in it, and We gave you sweet fresh water to drink
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 27
وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Woe to the deniers on that day
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 28
ٱنطَلِقُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
(They will be told): proceed to what you were denying it
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 29
ٱنطَلِقُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ ظِلّٖ ذِي ثَلَٰثِ شُعَبٖ
proceed to a three pronged shadow (of smoke)
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 30
لَّا ظَلِيلٖ وَلَا يُغۡنِي مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ
that is not a shade and is of no use against the flame
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 31
إِنَّهَا تَرۡمِي بِشَرَرٖ كَٱلۡقَصۡرِ
which indeed it shoots up sparks like towers
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 32
كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَٰلَتٞ صُفۡرٞ
as if they were yellow camels
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 33
وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Woe to the deniers on that day
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 34
هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ
This is a day that they do not speak
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 35
وَلَا يُؤۡذَنُ لَهُمۡ فَيَعۡتَذِرُونَ
and it is not permitted for them to apologize
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 36
وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Woe to the deniers on that day
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 37
هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِۖ جَمَعۡنَٰكُمۡ وَٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
This is the day of separation/decision, We assemble you and the earlier ones
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 38
فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمۡ كَيۡدٞ فَكِيدُونِ
So if you have a plot (trick), then plot it
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 39
وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Woe to the deniers on that day
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 40
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَٰلٖ وَعُيُونٖ
Indeed those who control themselves are in shades and springs
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 41
وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشۡتَهُونَ
and fruits of whatever they desire
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 42
كُلُواْ وَٱشۡرَبُواْ هَنِيٓـَٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ
Eat and drink joyfully for what you used to do
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 43
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
Indeed that is how We reward the good doers
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 44
وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Woe to the deniers on that day
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 45
كُلُواْ وَتَمَتَّعُواْ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجۡرِمُونَ
Eat and enjoy a little, you are indeed the guilty ones
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 46
وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Woe to the deniers on that day
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 47
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرۡكَعُواْ لَا يَرۡكَعُونَ
And when they are told to bow down, they do not bow down
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 48
وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Woe to the deniers on that day
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 49
فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثِۭ بَعۡدَهُۥ يُؤۡمِنُونَ
So in what saying do they believe after it (Quran)
Surah Al-Mursalat, Verse 50
