Surah Abasa - English Translation by Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali
He (The prophet) frowned and turned away
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 1

That the blind man came to him
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 2

And what makes you (The prophet) realize whether he (The blind man (Abdullah ibn Umm Maktum) would possibly (try) to cleanse himself
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 3

Or that he would constantly remember, and the Reminding would profit him
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 4

(But) as for him who thinks himself self- sufficient
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 5

To him then you (are eager) to attend
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 6

And in no way is it up to you (if) he should not (try to) cleanse himself
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 7

And as for him who has come to you endeavoring (to cleanse himself)
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 8

And he is apprehensive (of his Lord)
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 9

Then of him you were being unmindful
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 10

Not at all! Surely it is a Reminder
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 11

So, whoever decides will remember it
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 12

                  (It is) in Scrolls high-honored
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 13

                  Upraised, purified
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 14

By the hands of (serene) Scribes
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 15

                  Honorable, benign
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 16

Slain be man! How disbelieving he is
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 17

Of whichever thing did He create him
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 18

Of a sperm drop He created him; so He determined him
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 19

Thereafter the way He eased for him
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 20

Thereafter He makes him to die, so He entombs him
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 21

Thereafter when He (so) decides, He makes him rise again
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 22

Not at all! (Man) has not as yet performed what He has commanded him
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 23

So, let (man) look into his food
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 24
