Surah Abasa - English Translation by Dr Kamal Omar
                  He frowned and turned away
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 1

that there came unto him a blind person
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 2

And what shall make you realise, perchance he might become pure (of sins)
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 3

or he might take heed and Az-Zikrah (‘The Reminder’) may benefit him
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 4

Then whatever (may be the case), that who became disdainfully indifferent
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 5

then you, in his interest, you wait
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 6

And what (responsibility falls) on you that he is not becoming pure (of sins)
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 7

And that whoever (may be the case) — one who has come: he strives earnestly
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 8

and he becomes conscious of the position (of Allah)
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 9

then you regarding him: you show neglect
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 10

By no means (We allow this behaviour)! Surely, it is Tazkirah (‘An Admonition’)
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 11

So whoever desired, he propagated it (to himself and to others)
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 12

(The Scripture is contained) in Suhuf (Surahs or Booklets) Mukarramah (held in honour)
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 13

exalted (in dignity), kept pure (from interpolation)
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 14

                  in the hands of scribes
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 15

                  noble (and) virtuous
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 16

The human has been condemned (because of) that which has made him a denier (of Allah’s Message)
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 17

From what material did He create him
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 18

From Nutfah He created him; (and) then He set him in due proportion
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 19

Afterwards, the Path — He made (it) easy unto him
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 20

                  Surah Abasa, Verse 21

Then, when He willed — He resurrected him
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 22

Nay! Not yet he has completed what He commanded him
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 23

Then let the human being look towards his food
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 24

that We poured down water in a downpour
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 25

                  Surah Abasa, Verse 26

Then We caused to grow therein the grain
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 27

and grapes, and clover-grass (as pasture)
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 28

                  and olives, and date-palms
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 29

and gardens — dense in growth
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 30

and fruits, and Abba (herbage or fodder)
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 31

(to be) a provision for you people and for your cattle

                  Surah Abasa, Verse 33

the Day a man flees from his brother
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 34

and his mother, and his father
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 35

For each and every man of them that Day is a concern which makes him indifferent (to all, except himself)
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 37

(Some) faces this Day (would be) happily shining ones
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 38

                  Surah Abasa, Verse 39

                  Surah Abasa, Verse 41

Those people: they very ones are Al-Kafarah (the disbelievers), Al-Fajarah (the evil-doers)
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 42
