                  HE FROWNED and turned away
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 1

because the blind man approached him
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 2

Yet for all thou didst know, [O Muhammad,] he might perhaps have grown in purity
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 3

or have been reminded [of the truth], and helped by this reminder
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 4

Now as for him who believes himself to be self-sufficient
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 5

to him didst thou give thy whole attention
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 6

although thou art not accountable for his failure to attain to purity
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 7

but as for him who came unto thee full of eagerness
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 8

                  and in awe [of God]
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 9

                  him didst thou disregard
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 10

NAY, VERILY, these [messages] are but a reminder
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 11

and so, whoever is willing may remember Him
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 12

in [the light of His] revelations blest with dignity
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 13

                  lofty and pure
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 14

[borne] by the hands of messengers
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 15

                  noble and most virtuous
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 16

[But only too often] man destroys himself: how stubbornly does he deny the truth
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 17

[Does man ever consider] out of what substance [God] creates him
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 18

Out of a drop of sperm He creates him, and thereupon determines his nature
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 19

and then makes it easy for him to go through life
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 20

and in the end He causes him to die and brings him to the grave
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 21

and then, if it be His will, He shall raise him again to life
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 22

Nay, but [man] has never yet fulfilled what He has enjoined upon him
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 23

Let man, then, consider [the sources of] his food
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 24

[how it is] that We pour down water, pouring it down abundantly
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 25

and then We cleave the earth [with new growth], cleaving it asunder
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 26

and thereupon We cause grain to grow out of it
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 27

                  Surah Abasa, Verse 28

                  Surah Abasa, Verse 29

                  and gardens dense with foliage
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 30

                  and fruits and herbage
                  Surah Abasa, Verse 31

for you and for your animals to enjoy
